Are you kidding me? I was a HUGE Yao fan. Yao's was the first NBA jersey I ever bought. Like I said before, I spent most of my time on Chron.com before discovering this site. Back in Yao's time, I posted there a lot.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched the very first Yao vs. Shaq highlight video on YouTube. I remember when that game was first played...I literally teared up in those first few minutes when Yao blocked Shaq on 3 consecutive shots and hit that first sky hook on Shaq after the first block. It was my most loved moment in NBA history until Linsanity came along...

And of course, I was not a Yao-Only fan. I am a basketball fan first and foremost.

There was a Lin fan who claimed to be 60 year old Astros / Colt 45s fan. He got banned.
He was obviously fake because he never posted in the Astros forum part of Clutchfans.

He would google stuff about Houston and write it and real Houstonians can figure out that fake stuff.

 

He got bought out by the Hawks.

1. no team wanted him to trade for him at his salary
2. he was clearly there for the expiring contract so the Hawks can free up 10 mill next year
3. he did his job, they are still in the zion sweepstakes

Bro, what part is not true? Yes, Jeremy Lin was always primarily the backup PG behind Trae, which is about 15-18 mpg considering Trae plays just about 30 mpg. Jeremy got the extra 5-8 minutes or so per night as a 2-guard back when Baze/Prince were out, which gave him 20-25 mpg total. The reason his season average mpg is below 20 is that he was brought back slowly at beginning of season due to rehab.

 

He'll be playing SG behind Green apparently...

The funny thing is, isn't Kyle Lowry playing bad enough to the point where Lin fans might have a legitimate reason to demand Lin start over Lowry? Lmao.

Nah...Lowry is a proven starter and the Raptors are his team. Hopefully Lin will have a meaningful role on the team...I'd assume that Lin's agent and the Raptors have had this conversation and the role will be to Lin's satisfaction, but we will see.

 

When Baze was out, there were maybe 3 games where Lin got more than 20 minutes. Overall, they didn't play Lin and Trae together much.

He was and is becoming an injury prone player. Being signed by the lowly Atlanta Hawks to, ultimately, become an expendable backup PG to a rookie... is extremely telling for someone that is considered a "key" veteran signing.

Even worse! They're confident with Trae Young, Justin Anderson, and Taurean Prince as primary ballhandlers. There's a reason he is getting bought out and let go (again) for nothing at all.

Yet you didn't join this board till Jerry Lin arrived. Suuuuuure.
