Well if that was the case, I would have done it every year since. Warriors have eliminated the Rockets 4 out of 5 times since 2015, so there goes your conspiracy theories. I only spoke up because of your toxic behavior.

I don't have a troll account. No need for it as I am as up-front about everything as I possibly can be.

That said, glad to see that there's still interest in talking about Lin here even when I'm gone for a week or two. His role on the Raptors is pretty much end-of-the-bench, so I didn't think there was anything to talk about here. Looking forward to seeing if Lin gets any interest in free agency...certainly given how poorly he played as a Raptor, I don't expect to see him get anything beyond a vet-minimum offer from somewhere (if that)...fingers crossed that he'll land somewhere in the NBA, but as a 30yr-old who was obviously seeing limitations from his major injury and surgery, I am not hopeful that he'll get a meaningful offer.

 

Perhaps this year, yes...Lin obviously seeing the effects of his injury and 2-years off from the game. But even just looking at career statistics, Lin has been a much better scorer and playmaker than Bev. Bev definitely the better man-defender and 3pt shooter.

 

C'mon...I'm a Lin fan, and even I'm not sitting here saying "Lin made it to the conference finals". He's not played any meaningful minutes in the playoffs, and even in the blow-out games, he's only getting 3-ish minutes. I don't blame Coach Nurse for keeping him on the bench, either...Toronto signed Lin with every intention of giving him a significant role in the playoffs, gave him ample opportunity to prove he could handle it, and Lin couldn't deliver. We can argue about why he couldn't deliver...I think it's because his injury-recovery finally caught up with him...but it was plain to see that for whatever reason, he just couldn't.

Lots of NBA players who have had a ruptured patella were never the same after that injury. I am proud of the fact that Lin worked really hard to try to come back, and I'm sure he'll continue to try. But right now, things aren't looking good for his NBA future.
