Other than Howard, Harden and Lin draw the bulk of fouls for the Rockets. That's big. Neither Beverley nor Brooks has the same ability to create contacts going to the hoop.

You're giving up something as a facilitator and on defense. It will be interesting to see how it works out.

Assuming Harden is still out, would Garcia start in Lin's place?

Rox really don't need Lin. McHale has neutralized Lin's biggest skillset - setting his teammates up - and turned him into an individual scorer. So the team is less dependent on Lin as ever. Rox will be fine and will only miss his team-help defense, which is really only needed on certain teams anyways.

Parsons can help in that regard. He goes to the rim quite a bit. Maybe he can get 2-4 times more at the line or and 1s.

Offensively yes. AB could match Lin's offensive production 1 to 1. But for defense, there is a huge drop.

Thats too bad... Lin has been playing great so far this season... with him being out for 2 weeks do we see any cannon action?

Lin has been a really strong scorer on a team with not a lot of offensive punch. He is going to be missed.

Is Brook Lopez back tonight? Andray Blatche has really stepped up for them in his absence, but he (Blatche) hurt his ankle on Wednesday.

Ok this just shows how good DM did in signing AB as an insurance policy for injuries.

#2.. DM should waste no time in bringing Cannan up from RGV and have him ready to get some real NBA burn time. If AB or BEV go down we could be in trouble at the guard spot till Harden is ready to come back.

Does Brewer have the handles to play some 2 guard if needed? Cisco and Casspi can play a little, and Parsons can cover some time.

It's not so much about drawing fouls as it is about drawing defensive attention. The defensive over-reaction/collapse on Harden/Lin drives just isn't there on Brooks/Beverley drives. I mean, I can understand the lack of defensive collapse on Beverley drives, but I can't on Brooks drives. It's like they have forgotten how dangerous Brooks is on that end of the court. Perhaps Brooks can continue to destroy a few team before their memory gets refreshed and they catch on to what's happening.

Just needs to hold down the fort for a while until Harden and Lin get back.

Either him or Dmo. Am sure Canaan is checking his phone every minute for a phone call from management.

AB has played well. The thing about it is, though, that he is something like 10 for his last 13 on 3 point shots. It's hard not to look impressive when you shoot at this rate. It's also hard to sustain this kind of shooting. Lessons learned from fantasy basketball.

I hope both. Didn't DMo go off for like 29 against the Suns with no Harden last season?

Hopefully Lin can come back 100% and his shot will still be there... because last year after coming off of knee surgery, it took him half a season before he was back to normal.
