The guy doesn't have much offensive skills, but plays great D, great rebounder and gives Houston much needed height. He may have been a dump for NY, but may end up providing much more to the Rockets than we all thought. Welcome to H-town JJ.
This is another example of a knee jerk reaction thread, albeit a positive one. I kinda wish new threads were not allowed during games.
Just not much of a positive tone around here after the trade. Losing to Pacers, Martin struggling and now about to lose to New Orleans. Not really a knee jerk reaction thread, just giving credit where it's due. The guy has played great D his whole career, and been a great rebounded. Only thing is, most of us looked past that and it's now apparent.
Exactly. This knee-jerk crap is driving me nuts. The next time you want to make any kind of pronouncement about a player based on one game, stop, think, and then shut up. Or even two games, for that matter. Or three. Or five.
yeah sorry, but it's a knee jerk....it's just an adrenaline rush for now because it's his first game....for offensive players that can be a bad thing, like with martin, it means forcing shots, shooting them too hard, charging into guys...but defensively it's a good thing. It means more hustle and energy... I think he's solid help, but im not sure he can keep this up the rest of the year. We'll see.
Sigh, another Rockets loss. It's been a tough 2010 huh? I guess I'll just get back to doing some homework. Anyways, I hope Rick doesn't waste away Budinger and Jeffries this year.
Maybe you should take your own advice. On another note, Ariza shoots us out of a game once again. Down 4, and jacks up a 3 with no one under the basket. He needs to be slaped in the face.
ah, a cleverly disguised battier post. You're good Kwame, almost thought it had nothing to do with battier, for once. By the way, it's one game, and he plays the PF spot. Did you run out of small forwards to compare battier to? That's odd, considering they come in cereal boxes according to you.
