Think RHR just posted it in another thread but oh well...

Jeff Van Gundy: "I thought Bosh was the right target. I love that Daryl & Les are bold. Houston thought they were getting the best center in basketball. He used to walk into 20 and 13 nights, destructive in the PnR and phenomenal defensively. Now it's very sporadic. Injury, lack of motivation, never fully bouncing back from the back injury, doesn't matter why but if he can't be better than he is, it will be difficult for them to win it all. They need help at the point. Beverley brings toughness and shoots it well but they need more and better balance there. They don't have Parsons to do that anymore, that second slasher/driver. They need an upgrade at the point, to get Beverley back to what he is, a 6th man candidate and Dwight needs to be great. Right now he's good but unless he's great, that they can hope to beat all the challenges they'll meet in the Western Conference. -It's up to the players to say we'll take better care of the ball. Sometimes you meet destructive defenses and GS is one of those defenses. One thing we know, the Rockets & Daryl won't stop until they feel they have a roster that's good enough to win it all so I won't be surprise if they improve before the deadline or right after when people are bought out but certainly, they have to raise their game a level or two to get into the conversation about winning it all. Houston is really good. If a team can sweep them, then that is a dominant team and that what GS is this year. 2nd favorite team [behind GS]? Depending on the day, Clippers gotta do some things better, San Antonio lost a ton of close games with Leonard out, interesting to see how Green impacts Memphis. Does he help them enough offensively to balance them out? Whoever it is, they're going to have to take a significant step forward to compete with GS. GS will make one of those runs where they go 16-3 in the playoffs and wipe people out. Bottom of the playoff picture, OKC on the outside looking & Phoenix too. Inevitable OKC overtakes Phoenix? Isn't it amazing how great the Western Conference is? I do think if they remain healthy, it will be hard to hold off OKC but they've had ups and downs defensively too. Phoenix is good. If OKC is healthy, I think they'll get it. Imagine GS wih 68 wins and your first round gift is OKC with two top players. If OKC roars, any chance the Rockets slip out? No. Rockets are too good. When you have 2 losses like you had to GS, I understand the fans being disappointed but it's more of how good GS is than Houston not being good. Houston can beat any other team in basketball in a series right now. They can lose too. There's no one they can't beat except GS. GS is too good for any other team. If they get the right matchups, they can be in the WC Finals because they're that good. Jones, I'm interested to see how they implement him. Four bigs or three bigs? Who gets their minutes cut when he comes back?
It's all about the talent with the rockets nothing said about strategy, give to harden and shoot threes, sounds like a winning strategy.
