It should also be noted, Carmelo is a willing passer with very good court vision.

His ball stopping rep is due to his team's being built very poorly, with him being one of the only viable scorers.

Not really something he could help.

How'd that go for the mid 2000's Suns?

I'd rather have floor-spacing Ryan Anderson than volume, mid-range-chucking, lane-clogging Carmelo Anthony on this team. Given CA's history with Pringles, and given Morey's three-ball approach, I'd be shocked if Morey actually wants to employ CA as anything other than a smoke screen. And I wonder if Morey's real target is Kevin Love, who would be an upgrade at the 4.

imo, very well. Suns were the best team in 2007

They got robbed in 2007 in Game 4, refs allowing Horry to start a cheap fight with 18 seconds left, when the game all but over, resulting in Amare barely leaving the bench and getting ejected for Game 5. Suns win Game 5 and they have clear sailing to the ring.

There is no way you should reward Horry and SAS with a flagrant 2 foul when the game is essentially over resulting in such an important player getting kicked out of Game 5 for barely stepping off the bench. That ref behavior of rewarding cheap shots just causes more.

It's his opinion at the end of the day. Nobody can say for certain until he's here

I recall the JVG Rockets getting smoked by the D'Antoni Suns

They just ran it up and down the court and we couldn't stop them.

There is no natural fit between ISO Melo and the current Rockets. What you have to hope is that he can be FIBA Melo - and I think FIBA Melo can contribute on just about any team.

The plan is to have Carmelo Anthony play like (a better version of) Ryan Anderson rather than the Carmelo Anthony we've seen in NY. Can Melo make this transition? Maybe, maybe not. But Morey said he has to take chances when chasing a team like Golden State.

Melo is no spring chicken right now. We all know that. He of all people knows that. That is why he is not willing to sit on a rebuilding knicks team or a disgruntled cavs team. If you've watched any of the Hoodie Melo training sessions you can see him working on his catch and shoot and improved release speed.
He knows his legacy is on the line. He can either pull a Mcgrady and eventually play in China and then sign a quick contract on the Warriors to ride a bench for a ring or actually do something special. This is his very last chance to either do something or retire as another good player who did nothing but score alot of points. He is going to make it work especially with Chris paul pushing him. Trust in Morey.
