Who says coaches with jobs can't get new jobs? Thibs stole him back from Dwayne Casey, right? Plus, his first NBA job was for the Rockets. JVG hired him.
I thought you were saying he was a free agent. He would be a fine choice, as would Erman and I like Bailey out of the Celtics G- League. The Rockets will likely not add anyone and I think that is a mistake.
Not good news at all; but times like this I'm thankful we have Chris Paul- probably one of the most cerebral players in the league
I'm probably worse for not being happy. The defensive output against GS was better than my most optimistic ideas.
65 years old is not young...I respect his decision and I’m thankful for the defense he brought to the rockets in the last 2 years. I’m also confident this won’t be a repeat of 2015-16. Our best players are too smart to let that **** happen twice.
Maybe he hit the traditional 65 retirement age, can afford to retire, is sick of the travel, being away from his family, and dealing with primadonas and decided retirement looked appealing. I don't see anything wrong with that. Sucks for us. Good for him.
Well...at least most of the team was coached by him and will (hopefully) live up to those standards, regardless of who is taking that coaching spot. *fingers crossed*
dam my body is not ready for this.... i blame it on Tilman's financial trouble..not able to pay him...
Sad to see him go, I wished he could be a consultant for the team. A consultant at least he doesn't have to go to games, just show up when he wants to. 65 is not easy for a NBA season espeically stopping cheating refs and Dubs. Time for D'Antoni to bag another Coach Of The Year for 2018-19 season.
