    All I want for Christmas is for Beltran to sign. If it's here, great, if it's elsewhere, we know to look at other options.

    So if we dont sign Beltran ..... we dont get Clemens back ... we lost Kent/Wade Miller already.

    Who else is there?? :rolleyes:

    The Dodgers are going to be a damn good offensive team next year.

    If the Dodgers had kept Beltre, then i'd be real scared. But an aging Kent, Streaky Green, and injury proned Drew might not be all it's cracked up to be. But if they are all healthy, that's a pretty tough 3 to wrecken with. :(

    Drew's a wuss. Hurt all the time and then when he's not, he has to be 100% or he won't play that day.
    He and LA deserve each other.

    I`ve followed Drew since he came up with the Cardinals and IMO the Dodgers overpaid. He`s a good player, but he seems to come up short in the clutch, not to mention he`s been injury prone

    The Dodgers are going to regret giving him 55 million the first time he misses a week because of an ingrown toenail.

    Agent = Boros
    Ordonez not cheap. Healthy? That is the question.

    I'm guessing they put Franco full time at 1B, LaRoche in one of the corner OF spots, Marrero in the other, unless they find another player to fill the position. Pretty shaky outfield, both offensively and on defense.

    Marrero was traded already. Pretty shaky outfield, and Julio Franco turned 40 in 1998!

    Maybe they're planning on signing Beltran, and just playing Beltran and Jones in the OF, then having an extra infielder. ;)

    Doh, that's right. No clue then, they're completely out of OFs. Could move Chipper back to LF, but then you've got a hole at 3B.

    If only. That would be kinda fun to see, actually. In a small park, with ground ball pitchers, I think that Beltran and Andruw could almost handle the OF duties between them.

    Wow....they really should have used that money to keep Beltre. Drew is over rated.
