We give JB a lot of grief for the defensive strategy used, however, he came up with a gem for the last 3 games of the Clipper's series. I notice that the Rockets pushed CP3, Redick, and Crawford to the left side of the floor, keeping the ball in their left hand, and forcing them to take difficult jump shots in the lane with a hand in their face. It is amazing that most right hand players can't go left and finish at the rim (CP3 can, but rarely tried) and settle for tough jump shots. Crawford really struggled going left and trying to finish, kept bricking shots off the rim. Why is this important, check out Curry and Klay highlights, very rarely do you see either of them go left and try to finish at the rim, they stop and shoot a quick jumper, crosses over and shoots a quick 3, or fadeaway 3. This becomes more difficult when you have Ariza, Brewer, or Smith defending you. So big props to JB for making the adjustment on shooters and hopeful this works against Golden State to slow them down. Stopping impossible.
Except Curry and Thompson are REALLY REALLY good shooters. They can create their own shots and/or stop and pop at just about anywhere on the floor.
Curry and Thompson will get theirs no matter what, just contain their bench and the Rockets will be fine in this series.
