Now the over rated rockets are in an 0-2 hole, while Utah just smoked the Lakers by 26.

and it was the Lakers who were overrated...

Don't feel bad though, Denver is overrated too. The Lakers beat them yesterday.

    NOT Denver ...

TMac doesn't help Houston at all.

    and wrong again...

    He's just another ballhog.

    dispelled that one too...

And they got rid of a lot of their supporting cast to get him.

And we now have a better cast...

    Good job Houston.

    Thanks!

Hey schwa... you kind of remind me of Kirk Snyder last night.

The kid thought he could trash-talk to our bench, and Jeff Van Gundy (all 5'8 of him) scared the little kid away in just 2 seconds. Honestly, JVG has more cajones than your entire team put together.

Keep hanging your hopes on softies like Okur, Boozer, and Kirilenko. Better yet, go ahead and draft Bogut... he fits right in with the over-hyped/overrated Utah stigma. I'm sure him and Darko will be battling it out down low :)rolleyes: )in the NBA finals one day.

In the meantime, we'll take absolute warriors like T-mac, who's able to drop 40 on you with one leg... or Bobby Sura, who was ready to rip a new one into Snyder (and probably will hold this grudge till next season, and wait for the perfect time to dish it out)... and even our 'soft' player (Yao) is built like a freaking tank, so at least we get to see him more than the 30 games Kirilenko shows up for.

I'd argue that Utah's system is more important than their players, and that they will be competitive even if they have nothing but 15 scrubs.

But still. They suck. And coming to this board to post that mess - why do that? Nobody is going to be persuaded. It's like the kid who's up in a treehouse taunting the bigger kids who can't reach him. Very immature. I don't go to Utah's BBS and post crap about them.

But if I did, I would point out again that Utah sucks.

    • Our starting center frequently has had limited minutes because of fouls, resulting in us putting a 38-year-old center in the game.
    • When our starting point guard began the season on the IL, we tried to bring in Charlie Ward, who also got injured and is out for the season. At mid-season, our starting PG went back on the IL for 5 games.
    • Even McGrady has also missed a few games because of sore hip, pulled groin, etc.
    • Our starting PF is out for the rest of the regular season due to injury.
    ... yet ...

we're one of the top 5 teams in the NBA, we're tied for the 5th playoff spot in the West, and we're a serious contender for the championship.

    you want facts?

FACT: in our last 26 games, the Rockets are 19-7
FACT: in their last 26 games, Utah is 7-19
FACT: Rockets have had winning streaks of 8 games and 6 games this season.
FACT: Utah's longest winning streak all season was 4 games
FACT: Rockets longest losing streak this season is 5 games (happened twice)
FACT: Utah's longest losing streak this season is 9 games (happened twice). They've also had a losing streak of 6 games.
FACT: Rockets have endured multiple injuries and the most roster changes in the NBA to be tied for the 5th playoff spot in the west
FACT: Utah has had two players struggle with injuries and has the 2nd worst record in the West.
FACT: Rockets' record is better than 6 of the 8 Eastern playoff-ranked teams.
FACT: Of the 15 Eastern teams, 13 of them have a better record than Utah
FACT: Rockets have the 8th best record in the NBA
FACT: Jazz have the 4th worst record in the NBA
FACT: Jazz have a strong losing record (15-26) in games where Kirilenko HAS played (including one of their 9-game losing streaks).

Schwa makes it sound as if Kirilenko has been gone all season. The truth is, he's played in more than half of their games this season (41/70).

In truth, the Jazz just aren't a well-rounded team. Sure, it hurts when your two strongest players struggle against injury. But it shouldn't hurt them so much that they are 4th worst in the league. You can't call yourself a championship team if that's the case.

If San Antonio lost Duncan AND Ginobili, they'd suffer and wouldn't be tied with Phoenix. But they wouldn't be sucking scum at the bottom of the tank either.

Rockets and Jazz have both suffered injuries - but the Rockets have persevered, and the Jazz haven't.

I agree Utah sucks, but... our own record against these scrub teams ain't stellar either...

BTW, before throwing crap on his face, let's give a round of applause to this guy for having the guts to come back and attempt to save face, although he failed miserably. After that, throw more crap on his face.

Agreed - we love a good feud, and I applaud Schwa for having the cajones to stick up for his crappy team

Also agreed. Schwa, you probably shouldnt've started this thread if you didn't want to feel the hatred we all have for the evil Utah Jazz.

That said, I hope Sloan's boys will be watching the final four very closely to see what kinda talent they can grab out of the lottery. With a record as bad as yours, it'll probably be a pretty good pick.

You picked a fine time to continue rebuilding. With the west as stacked as it is, your Jazz doesn't have a chance at winning it all until at LEAST 2020 ... or Yao & TMac retire.

    and your point is?

    lame excuses

AK got injured because of his own stupidity (the latest one jumping so high that he can control himself anf had to land on his wrist)
Boozer thats what I call karma
Arroyo probaly hated the whole team anyway
    Raul who?

more excuses. injury is part of the game
Okur is not someone worth remembering

same with the rockets.. we have beat the best in the league suns, spurs, sonics, dallas, sac, heat, etc..
a lost is a lost.. you don't need too much time to lookup what your record is..

I admint jazz is a well coached team.. but better built? no superstars and all role players yeah right.. rox first round exit? did jazz even reach the playoffs last year? howbout this year? lottery after spending all that cash in the offseason? talk about mediocrity..

Fact: Utah was 8-6 in November with Kirilenko before his first injury, and was 6-20 after he came off the DL in January, for a full season record of 14-26.

What speaks volumes is that the leagues leading shot blocker, and newly minted max player, can't stay healthy and leads his team to a tidy .350 record when he is, LOL

Yeah, and he has been a rollicking success, ask Larry Miller

So you had some players who you thought were good, but actually sucked - isn't that the point of this bump?

I actually remember him as a paunchy turkish big man putting up average numbers on a bad team.

and the Rockets used to beat the Lakers when they were lottery bound - your point?

Right, and you jazz kids were sending yourselves to the WCFs in this very thread, lol.

Yeah you should have, but with a pathetic lotto bound team you thought better of it..

It's fun to savor your imploded season. Good luck rebuilding!

Come on Codell, go easy on the little troll.

BTW Schwa, if you're team is so much better than the Rockets, why are you on a Rockets fan site?
