I'm sure that one of the picks (The Suns' own pick) will be lottery protected this year because it will be top 10, maybe top 3. So, the Jazz have three first round picks in one of the worst draft classes in years and a bunch of cap room for one of the worst free agent classes in years...

It's been reported by the Utah radio stations, according to one message board, so it should be announced shortly...

I feel the only way Utah can build is through the draft. It never is going to be a hotbed for FAs. So if they have good scouting and find the right players to play in their system (look how well they are doing now with scrubs!), then things might pay off for them.

Looks like the Suns are slashing salary via giving away 1st round picks. Exactly what the Rockets did with the Rice trade. You will probably see this tactic done more closer to the draft with the Bobcats facilitating much of this.

Now if I were Utah, I'd trade those three first round picks for a long, skinny, projected top 5 pick, with questionable character, in which to build my franchise. Because that always works out...

Jazz make deals with Magic, Suns

With the 3 p.m. ET trade deadline looming, the Utah Jazz have struck a pair of deals, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports.

Utah will ship DeShawn Stevenson to the Magic for Gordan Giricek, and will send big man Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten to Phoenix for veteran Tom Gugliotta and two future first-round picks.

Neither deal has been announced by the NBA yet.

Orlando has also traded guard Shammond Williams to New Orleans for center Sean Rooks, Stein reports.

Stevenson, 22, is a former first-round pick by the Jazz in 2000. He is averaging 11.4 points in 54 games for the Jazz this season.

Cap deal for "Race for Kobe '04"

Suns have been begging the Jazz to take Googs almost all season. Next step will be their bribe offers to Charlotte for taking Jahdi White in the expansion draft.

Why am I not suprised about Utah aquiring more fundamentally sound white guys?

I've always said and still stick by my words that Larry Miller is racist.

I know I am missing something...

I though Keon Clark and Googs are FA at the end of the season, so why did PHX do this deal?

The Utah Jazz are a Racist Organization.

I'm sorry but this shouldn't be overlooked, they Just sent DeShawn Stevenson to The Grizzlies for Gordan Giricek

Then they send Keon Clark for... You guessed it!

    Tom Gugliotta.

Do they even have an african american player left on the roster?

Raja Bell and Mo Williams (from Alabama) are the only ones I can think of.
