Anyone can have his own opinion about this personal award before it is awarded. I do not see what is wrong on this.
If Harden does not win this award, hopefully he will pull a Hakeem and just dominate throughout a long Rockets run.
But how many media voters are being swayed by ESPN? I do not think every guy who works for that sports broadcast company is behind this if this is halfway true. ESPN does not control how people think. Their media darlings will stay Curry, Lebron and Durant for some time. Russell just caught up to them this season with his triple doubles. They just publish power rankings which to my knowledge have not sorted out a clear frontrunner. Everything else seemed to be speculation. And there are current and Ex NBA players that are outing themselves as WB's MVP supporters.
I do not think he is wired or programmed to dominate on the defensive side. Hakeem just did that during the playoffs. But I wish he could.
There is no circumstance whatsoever that justifies use of the n-word. So maybe he is a wannabe, wannabe thug. Middle ground located!
If thug is leaning towards criminal, he aint one. He is a semi punk I think you meant that. Or entitled douche.
As a white dude i dont wanna get into that too hard. Ill leave it alone and just say I never use that word
There is a very high chance the "what have you done for me lately" mentality might significantly hurt Harden's chances... Let's hope the voters are rational and take some time to think about the decision.
I would consider voting for WB as the post-all star break MVP (which is quite a bit shorter than pre-all star break).
