I hope to God this is like the Derek Fisher trade. Gone before the staff gets to even assign him a number.

Finally...a known name!!! I'd rather have Rondo, but this is a step in a better direction. Why did the Rockets and Texans wait til the Labor Day weekend to make these big moves?

He better yell checkmate before Howard's contract expires or it could all come tumbling down.

I doubt some of you actually watch basketball. Jason Terry is a jump shooter. Unless he forgot how to shoot, I'm thinking he'll be effective playing 15-20 minutes off the bench. This is a PERFECT situation for him. How you guys call him washed up? He's a jump shooter in the same mold as Ray Allen

I agree. Terry will help the Rockets if Morey doesn't have a plan to get him involved in a trade involving (hopefully Rondo).

Btw, excellent comparison to Ray Allen/Age.

I know this isn't the sexy franchise altering put us over the top move that we've all been hoping for - but this is yet another beautiful little trade by Daryl Morey. 2 second round picks and an expiring contract and all we gave up was Alonzo freakin' Gee? Simply beautiful.

The people posting on this site aren't happy with this trade, but they're happy with the "no names" we're acquiring. Jason Terry is still better, in any lifetime, than most of the players currently on this roster.

We should shut off his air conditioning.

    Big splash!

Terry is a rich man'a Ray Allen and brings championship experience.

We now have Jet and Ariza who have rings.

I think he'd more likely be the salary for someone like Ilyasova (of course it would need more), Kidd needs some veteran presence, and who better than his old championship team mate

I dont understand why we got him and 2 first rounders for very little. I hate that we got him, but if it's as straightforward as it looks, why in the world would sacramento say yes?

    Good move.

He's a known commodity, he's not expected to be the Jet of old and give us a healthy 15-17ppg in 30mpg, but if he can give us 8-10ppg in 15-20mpg, be a sharpshooter from deep, and cover the PG grounds for minutes in the game it's great.

He's also arguably our very best shooter on the team.

Experience was a huge reason we lost to blazers

This isn't a bad trade. Considering second round picks are worth about a million a piece if not more. 2 yrs ago les bout two for a million each. This feels like a trade before a trade. If Boston is off loading rondo, giving them jones/ Canaan/ and our 2014 pick and some second rounders doesn't sound bad.
