Remember when we traded for Fisher? We received the Dallas pick many didn't care about which ended up being used as a sweetener for the Harden trade. Let Morey do his job. This is what he gets paid for.
Not necessarily but I'd be surprised if we see Terry in a Rox uniform. His contract is what they are obviously wanting for another trade. Preseason deal? Trade deadline deal? Only Morey could answer that one. However just know he's not in the Rockets long term plans that much is guaranteed.
I don't think this is necessarily true. Take Phoenix, for example, they have a team salary of $42.7M -- which includes Dragic and does not include whatever Bledsoe makes. http://data.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/suns.jsp If they are going to trade Dragic or Bledsoe to Houston, they probably should prefer having Terry plus 2 2nd round picks to having Alonzo Gee and Scotty Hopson's non-guaranteed deals as a part of the trade package. Terry's contract doesn't really cost them any flexibility whether this year or in the future given Phoenix's salary situation-- they have a ton of cap room right now and isn't doing anything with it. The 2nd round picks can always be flipped for some value later on.
Should of gave dumba** Parsons when we had the chance to get Rondo. Asik, Lin, Parsons, Jones, maybe Beverley + picks for Rondo n Ariza (if the Rondo trade goes down).... Damn
And what I'm saying is that nonguarrenteeds > expirings. So if there was a pending trade, a team would rather have filler that doesn't cost them anything vs having to pay terry 5+ million. I do think Morey is still trying but 'soon' isn't happening. Trade deadline is his next push for the 3rd spot.
I wouldn't take this as an indication that Morey already has a deal lined up. I wouldn't be surprised if Terry ends up playing in a Rockets uniform for a bit, or the entire season. It's just that we don't have any medium sized contracts other than Kostas (who technically isn't signed yet) to make trades work. Plus, second round picks!
Consider it done... My only hope is the fans have pillow cases full of soap. Is that too harsh even for a former Maverick?
srs they're thinking morey wants terry to be a rotation player. they forget the picks we lost in the lin trade, now replaced with two early 2nd round picks
My god has post quality gone to **** in this forum. This is a GREAT trade We give up a non guaranteed contract for a 6 million dollar expiring contract AND 2 second rounders. And people here are b****ing yelling that Terry sucks etc, this trade isn't for Terry it's for his contract and the picks. Dumbasses.
There is no way Morey is going to let the Jet start the season with the Rockets. The Jet is done, anyone including Morey should know that. Like you say let DM do his job.
The suns already have picks...almost to a point that they might need to start 'selling'. If 'soon' was happening, it would need to be apart of this deal or it will need to wait 60 days from the 15th...after the season starts. Morey is still fishing and he is changing bait because the bait he had was spoiling. However, I see this as being the starting roster choices, but hopefully not the playoff roster choices.
The poll shows 80% approval. But after reading the responses, you'd think it was the other way around. Must be the silent majority at work here. I for 1 like it. If Terry has any aviation fuel left, he'll be our version of Ray Allen. If not, he's an expiring 5.8m contract. Also as others have mentioned, this deal isn't done yet. The best is yet to come! There's too much to be excited for, even tho it's a hated former Mavs player.
last time we had fisher and we didnt even let him play time to correct that mistake morey show them you view players as humans and not as assets give jason terry the green light to shoot
