He made it look easy. As a vet, I'd trust him to produce these kind of shots when it counts rather than a younger player. I believe Ray was Morey's first choice, but Terry's going to be valuable to this team.

I'm getting a Jon Barry / David weasly 04/05 feel to the jet. I hope he can be that savy vet that hits threes off the bench.

JT will bring the much needed vet presence to the second unit of the bench. Having more vets around with Championship experience will benefit the second year and rookies this season. I can't wait for the team to prove all the nay sayers wrong this season.

agreed. 1997 rockets had Eddie Johnson, Charles Jones, Kevin Willis, and Sedale Threatt...all veterans..that contributed greatly.

I'm not sure I would have a higher percentage in an actual layup drill.

Let's get real here, if Terry stays, he's pretty much a vital part of the team. He'll be asked to create as a perimeter threat when Harden and any other is not on the floor. This is not looking good. We'll see.

He has ice water in his veins and even after missing shots left and right on an off night, CAN rise up and hit a game winning bucket, book it!

Let's get real here. Since he never was asked to do those things you mentioned with the Mavericks, I really doubt he will be asked to do those here. Rockets learned their lesson with the first Ariza campaign; you can not ask players to do what they are not comfortable with. Terry's craft is spacing the floor and an occasional dribble drive then pass.

He should participate in All-Star three point shootout next year.

Maybe he didn't need to with the Mavs. Fact is he's a vet with handles. Harden isn't going to be on the floor all the time and in case, there needs to be 2 ball handlers that can create on the perimeter at all times. I think Terry is probably a better playmaker than any of the PGs on this team.

    Lin wasn't that good.

Lebron wade worked together pretty well. Rondo and pierce.

I agree that terry isn't that guy, but two ball handlers together can work if they are both talented enough and can mesh on who is the more dominant ball handler and learn to play together.

Hopefully he can contribute during the game AND on the bench. I think he just might be able to help some of the youngsters with their shot. Can you imagine what his first 'shot mechanics' conversation with chandler parsons would have been like?

I'd take 3/7 3 point shooting from him every game.

Hmm, if Jason Kidd ranks ahead of you in 3p shooting, you must not be very good. :p j/k.

That ranking is more about volume and/or longevity than accuracy. Antoine Walker (career .325) ranks higher than Allan Houston (career .402)!
