Could he be a player coach? BTW, who was the last player coach? My guess would be Wilkens but that was before my time. Did anyone do it in the 80's?
Kidd had the most individual success in New Jersey with the Nets. Why not, he played pg and was an on the court coach for many years. What could possibly go wrong?
I don't think he would do a bad job, I also think that if he get's the job it would be unfair to all those coaches who have been waiting for a long time for their shot...... ....... ....... ........
I wouldn't say that. They seem to be a little reckless under the Russian mobster. Seems to run his team like someone who doesn't know a whole lot about the NBA. See: acquiring Joe Johnson
This. A playoff team, specifically a top 4 seed, will NOT hire someone with no coaching experience...regardless of the fact that he's one of the best PG's in NBA history. They wouldn't be willing to take that gamble. Warriors signed Mark Jackson , even though he didn't have any coaching experience, because they were willing to take that risk because they weren't a playoff team at the time.
