Nice comparison. If he can do what Brand did (in his prime) for about same level, I'd go for him in a heartbeat.
I would move up in the draft to get Sully. He is what the Rockets need, a low post scorer and a big man that can body up people inside.
Can't score against length. He couldn't even score against Thomas Robinson. Poor mans Elton Brand AT BEST. Definitely don't want us taking him, but knowing Morey's obsession with undersized PF's, he'll probably be the pick...
Well according the the latest mock draft, at that 14 slot were looking at Sullinger or Moultrie. From what I saw last year, Sullinger is a beast in the low post, but he cannot, I repeat, cannot score against length. If he somehow gets some conditioning and learns to explode on his shots then he will be a steal in the draft. He was one of the most fun players to watch in CBB last year if you like bruisers, which I do. Moultrie on the other hand does the dirty work. He's got a knack for the ball and is a tremendous rebounder, but at 230lbs he won't be able to play center. Sullinger is the right pick. 5 years from now he will be a force down low. The makings of a solid, young team are in place and he will be an absolute steal IMO if we can land him at 14.
There is no way that Sullinger gets to #14. His worst case scenario is probably Carlos Boozer in his prime. That's worth a top 7 pick right there.
He's there on the mock draft as we speak. I find it kind of absurd myself, but he's as close to a C as you can get unless you REALLY wanna take a chance on Fab Melo. He has a lot of upside and his defense would be a huge help. Not worth a lottery pick IMO, but #16 wouldn't be that far fetched.
Sullinger Will be an awful pro and all who think otherwise are wrong. I really hope we do not draft him. Go Morey keep up the good work
