Nothing like projecting a guys NFL future over one game. SMH

Not saying that he is or isn't worth the hype, but everyone has bad games. At least let the whole season play out.

He played a bad game, but it's clear he has franchise QB potential, at least to me. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out, but last night didn't deter me from liking his talent.

Exactly. It didn't help that his team was outclassed and he was under constant pressure all night.

He made all of the throws I need to see that he has NFL starter talent.

His deep ball accuracy was pretty bad though. I was honestly more concerned with that than his INTs.

Goff will be fine so long as he doesn't have to go against any defenses as good as Utah once he gets to the NFL.

I never said they were a "great defense", I said they were the best in the Pac 12, and TCU has what looks like the best offense in the country and the 2nd best player so far this year, so they smoke a lot of defenses

Rather, he'd be fine, so long as his NFL offensive line is better than his Cal offensive line.

The "Bear Raid" offense is the real question.

Maybe he can deal with complex reads and progressions, and maybe he can't. But the thing is, you're never going to have any legitimate real data to form a valid judgement on the subject until he's wearing an NFL uniform. Apparently some aspects of Cal's offense are pretty complex in terms of play calling and terminology, but its supposedly all still quick read and go stuff.

The offense doesn't require him to view the whole field and make multiple reads at the same time.

It is an unknowable unknown. Maybe he'll be the greatest ever in the NFL at doing that stuff, but you aren't going to find that out while he's still at Cal.

Perhaps the 3rd round if he ends up playing any good teams from here on out.

Good point. He has time to rehab his image but I don't think he's set to be a first round pick the way things are going.
