I was going to put these quotes of Harden's renewed bounce in his step in the James Harden Body thread, but I forgot that thread turned weird. for reference: "this thread is gay" But here's the OP photo from it (as reminder), and fresh quotes from MDA, EGo and Ariza Mike D'Antoni, who had unleashed Harden in ways only indicated as achievable before last season, saw "the bounce in his step." Trevor Ariza, Harden's teammate for longer than anyone, saw it "from the jump." Eric Gordon, who was nearly as accurate, said he could tell in the first quarter "it's going to be a crazy night." "You can tell just the bounce in the step and his 3s," D'Antoni said. "In the last two games, he's been just going straight up and down; he's pure. You can say, 'This is probably in.' He's not drifting or anything. It just means he's strong. his bounce getting around people was just ridiculous tonight." link to Feigen article: http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...ise-12334224.php?utm_campaign=twitter-premium Do you think he has a renewed bounce in his step?
If we get that November-December burst that we had last season with this team, and if he's able to stay consistent in the spring, I'll be convinced. But like last season, November-December are critical months for this team. I believe that stretch is what solidified as a top seed for the rest of the season. Hoping we can get back to that again.
Photo of Harden last night taking an inbounds pass from a made basket looking to attack before he even gets the ball. Look at that body! Houston Rockets guard James Harden (13) prepares to catch a pass under the pressure of Utah Jazz guard Ricky Rubio (3) and Utah Jazz forward Thabo Sefolosha (22) on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at the Toyota Center in Houston. I think the context of what these players were saying is for this one game, not the whole season. No mortal man can do what Harden did night in and night out, but I do think he's playing well this season. More importantly, the team is playing better. We were 6-5 last year to start out, 8-3 this year with our 2nd best player out for all but 1 game. We've must be improved because we've shot the ball like a bunch of turds. Especially from deep. When we were 6-5 last year we shot the 3 ball at 37% (150/406 3pt). This year we're shooting 34% (166/490 3pt) and that's after a 23 of 39 performance last night. We were at 31%.
can't wait until CP3 gets back so harden can average 32mpg/27ppg/9apg thru out the season for a 2nd or 3rd seed.. then release all that bounce saved up from 2nd round all the way to the finals
That pic doesn't show Harden bouncing. He's taking his eyes off the ball before he caught it. A no no for a wide receiver.
Look at how much torque he’s putting on his shoes His shoes are noted for their great lateral stability and he’s still about to rip right through them
As of last season, better than Lebron. Most impactful player in the NBA. It's always unbelievable how much James Harden's teams win, except for that one season. Now that we have Chris Paul to help with his exhaustion, it's time for that success to translate to the post season. All is moot though if he doesn't take mid.... *grin* OK FINE I WONT.
His teams are 411-240 for a 63% winning percentage in the regular season. That's like averaging 52 wins a year. Pretty impressive. Especially seeing that his big helper didn't want to play with him for a stretch.
The concern with Harden will never be about his physical abilities. It will always be mental with James. There aren't to many people on Earth that can match his physical tools with a basketball. If he ever develops the mental toughness and competitive nature similar to Pat Bev he could win a few rings and go down as one of the best to ever play the game.
