James Harden's 30 Point Game Streak

I mean, come ON. If Harden gets to 32 and the media still has trouble deciding between him and Antetokounmpo, something is very, VERY wrong.

 

Gonna be somewhat tough to keep the 30 streak alive now that CP3 is back. Not only is Harden going to take probably 10 less shots per game, but there's a chance CP3 + EGO go off a game and he sits the entire 4th.

 

If no injury, 66 here we come.

 

It's no contest right now, only Harden at Wilt levels.

 

What is so crazy is he is not forcing it he plays within the team and every point is needed. Just amazing how much he has grown this season. Glad I get to witness his true greatness.

 

Then: "Russell Westbrook is doing something nobody has done since the sixties! He's the obvious MVP!"

Now: "Anyone can do this if they have the ball in their hands all the time."

I'm surprised we haven't seen Ben Wallace on TV saying that he could have scored 40 a night with these new rules.

 

I was at the 32 point game one... sigh.

 

Only 31 games left for the season. He should break the 25 and maybe 31. 65 will be almost impossible even next year to break.

 

Let’s say harden does keep the streak until the end of reg season. Will the playoff games count also?

Yes. It is consecutive games. Not consecutive season games.

 

There's a Harden guidebook for haters.

1. Look at FTA. If > 5, point out that he gets all the calls and wouldn't score as many without the refs help.
2. He scored 30+ points because he always has the ball and never passes.
3. It's easy to score when you get to travel and push off all the time.
4. Back in the 90's he wouldn't get close to this type of scoring because hand checking.
5. I'm an idiot and don't actually watch the games. I just follow biased highlights on IG and further the negative narratives.

 

It is neat, but I would prefer it breaks they get back to more team ball and he gets more rest.

There LEGIT people out there saying this. It is like that thing a few seasons ago where Harden put up numbers and people said (yeah, but it is MDA's system, remember Lin?)

So yeah, Lou Williams could do this?....

 

The streak lives on after one of the worst games I can remember Harden playing.
