Here's another "since the 30+ streak began" stat. With last night's game, Harden is now shooting 90% from FT line, since the 30+ streak began (45 games). 82.7% prior.
This is mind-blowing. It took our offensive supernova shooting guard to shut down a red-hot center on defense so we could get back in the game. Not to mention that he lit the fuse on the offensive end of that comeback as well. Harden is unfathomably good.
Also 1st in win shares in that span Harden - 98.4 Lebron - 93.0 Durant - 89.5 Curry - 88.0 Paul - 80.9
Unlikely. And Harden still has more than double that entire team. Harden's production much more impressive.
From digging around, the 61-62 Lakers had 3 players do it - West, Baylor, and Larusso. BTW, I think this is even more crazy : a 50, a 47, another 47, a 41, a 35, and a 28-point scorer in the same game! (In 3OT, but still..) : https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/198312130DEN.html
Doesn’t miss games. 6th in games played and 1st in minutes during the span. http://bkref.com/tiny/0xl13 As far as the regular season goes it’s hard to argue anyone has been more valuable than Harden since he arrived in Houston.
Averages 53 wins in the West for almost a decade with different coaches, different teammates, injured teammates, and zero All-Star teammates. I bet ZERO players have duplicated said since Hakeem.
