Harden was legit bad for all but maybe 5 minutes of that game Still finished with 28/13/9 and a win LMFAO. He's incredible.
From ESPN recap: Houston trailed 93-81 with 2:04 to play, and still Harden told Anderson they were going to win. Anderson and Trevor Ariza hit two 3-pointers each in a 14-2 run. "Yeah, I'm so confident in this team. I don't ever see us out of a game," Harden said. "We score the ball so easily, so well." _____ I want to hear Anderson's side of that! Gotta love validating big predictions. .
Some stats Currently Harden is leading the league in minutes played offesive win shares / total win shares assist / assist per game turnovers / turnovers per game free throws made per game He also has a TS% of .607, and a career high DBPM of 1.5
Harden's Assists Per Game has dropped below 12. However, he is still the only player in history to average at least 25 Points, 5 Rebounds, and 11.5 Assists. http://bkref.com/tiny/hM7ty
the only thing i wish the rockets had was another young version of harden on the team, kinda like how the bucks have with giannas and parker. that kid josh jackson or markelle fultz would be perfect next to harden. in the starting lineup.
The only baffling thing is his 3pt shooting going down and how he doesn't use his mid-range game more, that step back is deadly.
he prolly gets fouled on avg at least once per game on a 3. Those are essentially makes but aren't calculated in 3%
As eye-popping as his stats have been, Westbrook has been on another level with the scoring and rebounding. That guy is ridiculous. They're neck and neck in the turnover battle, too.
Curry and Westbrook are better and are MVP candidates. Stats are nice, but Harden doesn't play defense (play defensive lapses from previous seasons). --ESPN
This is regarding Harden's 53 point triple double. "There were 6 games with 12 teams playing last night. Harden led all players on all 12 teams in points, assists and rebounds (tied Noah with 16 rebounds). Harden also tied the Cavs and Kings (the full rosters) with 17 assists each." Also, James Harden is on pace to get to 13500 points for his career by season's end. This would mean he'd pass up Rudy T, Vlade Divac, Jalen Rose, our boy Ron Artest (Metta World Peace), Kevin Johnson, Josh Smith, Paul Westphal, Nick Van Exel, Andre Iguodala, AC Green, Mark Jackson, and 15 year veteran Manu Ginobili. Harden is currently 27 and likely has 7-10 years left to move up the list. Two years from now, he'll likely be in the top 100 scorers of all time before turning 30. It appears he'll be in the top 10 in scoring by the time he's winding down his late years in his career.
Harden is on pace to tie his career high in total assists for the season (619 total assists in 2015-2016) by the 51st game of the season.
