Westbrook is right back in the race. His team came back from a double digit deficit late in the 4th and Westbrook hit the game winner. He had a 37 point triple double. I hate the Mavericks.

What OKC bigs, Russ, and media don't realize is that it was only close because they (Russ&Bigs) chase the triple double. If Russ played the "right" way they would have blown out the Mavs. No wonder KD left.

 

That is because they have seen the MDA treatment before and have given the MVP to Nash on 2 occasions.

Nash was great but two MVPs for a player who was his best under one offense genius coach?

The traditional values that the MVP stands for "Top 5 team in a tough Conference", "elite stats" do not apply to them, they have shifted their angle.

They probably want Harden's team to be 3rd seed or better and average a triple double these days.

 

Westbrook's game winner will get approximately 8293745 times more coverage than anything Harden has done this season.

In the end, even if i'm pissed, i agree. Hell, the Mavs are probably tanking, the reality is that they suck and they need to pick a good player in the lottery, no big name is going to sign with them this summer to play with old Dirk, Barnes and few scrubs...getting embarassed 4-0 in the first round doesn't really help them so yeah...maybe they really tried to lose...and they suck anyway, lottery team, making a comeback against a lottery team is...whatever.

 

Yes, he tried to bring it back to Westbrook's "dominance" and his weak supporting cast. Beck was having none of it.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter what a lot of the media says... It's down to these voters.

 

Would have been better if they just blew out the Mavs. Now all they'll talk about is what a winner he is. Doesn't matter, it's the Mavs. None of the shows covered the Rockets/Thunder game, I expect this to be the lead.

 

Gonna be the 2nd all-time great James Harden season that eventually gets forgotten. Damn shame.

 

Oh, as much as people love to hate Dallas... Eddie Sefko has Harden for the MVP. He is one of the MVP voters.
