    Rockets playing .550 ball for a month or two is just too damning for Harden, as opposed to the Thunder who have played .550 ball the whole season.

    it's not fair but the recency bias is huge in awards like this. we had our hot/blistering start in the early part of the season.

    everyone already forgot about that.

    I'm not mad at that. Harden and Kawhi should be 1 and 2 on most ballots if the media is actually capable of being objective, but I still expect Westbrook to win the award by a decent margin.

    This is what its come to, no one knows how to judge this thing anymore because of they use one criteria to give it to Curry and then shift the goal post on Harden and made this all about stats to accommodate Russ. And even in this example, despite the gawdy numbers from Wilt and Oscar, the Celtics had the best record and Russell was the best player on the best team. I would honestly, at this point be ok with just giving it to Kawhi

    The 60s were a crazy era. They had some inflated stats. Who is ever going to average 50 points or 25 rebounds. It just not possible with number of possessions.

    I'm okay with this. I would rather voters give it to Kawhi over Westbrook. Otherwise, it sets a precedent for young players that stat padding will be rewarded. The league already has an issue with rewarding tanking teams.

    This is a genuinely absurd statistic that will not matter to anybody because Harden is not deemed as fun as other players.

    "Westbrook hystoric numbers"...he has two poins and two rebouns more than Harden...with one less assist...it's like Harden has a 22/5/10 on the table

    that's Sam Presti's fault for having Semaj Christon as Westbrook's backup...Christon doesn't even look like he belongs in the NBA

    when we had Tyler Ennis as our backup PG early in the season our +/- with Harden off the floor was horrific as well
