Doesn't matter. Winning ain't the criteria this year.

That argument only makes sense if Isiah Thomas was Westbrook's main rival for MVP. I just don't understand how these people don't have any basic semblance of logic.

It confirms what I have been thinking for years: Rudy Gobert is better than Steph Curry AND Kevin Durant

Does Mchale and Anthony know that the last person to average a triple double didn't win the MVP?

I can't listen to these dumbass Westbrook supporters in the media any longer. I'm just about done. Some of these pro-Westbrook arguments are so dumb.

For those who are losing sleep over this, here's some stats you might be able to use

fwiw: Both Westbrook's 50-pt Triple Doubles were not triple doubles in regulation. He required OT to get both.

Here are the 50pt games at the end of Regulation:

    2016-10-28 45+11+9 Westbrook
    2016-12-31 53+16+17 Harden
    2017-01-27 51+13+13 Harden
    2017-03-29 50+9+9 Westbrook

Do they count them differently if they require OT?

Not gonna lie, I am salty AF about OKC almost losing TWICE to lottery teams, only to have the games set up for Heroics for RW to hit game winners, triple doubles, and take Harden's "top scoring triple double" title away from him.

And now the "hot take media" are riding RW's nuts. I cant tell you how many tweets I saw today from media saying something to the effect of "I was thinking Harden, but then after what RW did the last few games I might have to go with him." I mean, 2 come from behind wins vs lottery teams.

Salty AF with Dallas and Orlando CHOKING away those games. F' those teams.

Broussard laughing at Oladipo being the second best scorer on Thunder. Eric Gordon is Rockets 2nd best.

    Oladipo- 16.3ppg. 45%fg. 38.1% 3pt
    Gordon- 16.4ppg. 41%fg. 38% 3pt

Harden owns that record for regulation. WB needed OT. In fact, both WB's 50-pt triple doubles were not triple doubles at the end of regulation -- see my breakdown above. The first wasn't even 50 pts yet, either. I do believe the NBA strikes a difference on records requiring OT, no?

all the media cares about is that it happened

u could also say that Harden only shot the ball 26 and 28 times in those games while Westbrook shot it 44 and 40 times...the media won't care at all tho

I know, but the amount of shots doesn't matter to the Record Books The Record Books do care about regulation versus extended time records....I'm pretty sure.

anyhoot, I don't care. Just thought others might be interested in what the record books will say.

Broussard probably thinks that Gordon is a 20 ppg scorer. I really wish that I could go on these shows for like 5 minutes. These pro-Westbrook arguments are so garbage and could be taken down so easily, but no one is really doing it.

Harden can WIN the MVP back by beating the Red Hot Warriors again at Oracle. If he does that I think he can seal it IMO

Harden might own it for *regulation. But the MEDIA won't account for this. And that's what matters. Media doesn't care about any qualifiers.
