He'll never be Dream. I'm fine with that.

Nobody is going to win DPOY, MVP, and Finals MVP in the same year for awhile.

Don't see Harden dominating at both ends of the court for the regular season and the playoffs .

This is like when the Lin fans point to that one week with the Knicks saying Lin was better than everybody including their parents and god.

    Terrible thread.

LOL mavsprick LOF calling me out and asking for help

so now you're saying Harden is only as important as Lin to the Rockets

maybe you can ask for help to make harden's injury worse or make him out for the whole season

You got to be kidding me! Harden is no where close to Jordan.
Touch foul era and free-throw line vs Hack the hell out of you and no call.

Jordan would average 40 a game if they called fouls like they do now.

    definitely true

Hard to believe this, though. I suspect you're on the minority end of this one.

If there is a case like that, I would make the opposing case that basketball was actually a contact sport in the 90s. Today its a superstar foul contest.

Hand checking was allowed in the 90s. This gives defense a better chance to defend you because they get to "push" you into a certain direction allowing for help defenses to recover. In today's game, you can't breath on a shooter without getting called a foul. Furthermore, the 3-point shots of today's players are so inflated because that't the new way of playing ball. Back in the 90s, most of the shots came from midrange. No way Harden is better. Jordan will kill in today's game and he's so good in the playoffs.

I publish manuscripts all the time and like any research paper the statistical analysis is the essence.

This right here is why there is so much ignorance in the implementation/utilization of stats. You don’t even have a “peer review” process in place to prevent stupid inferences. I wonder how people actually get to the “but the #s don’t lie” when they can’t even understand the integral role of context.

you're the one who's so sure your savior Lebron could have given the Rocket's WCF because Ryno & Ego are clearly better than Kyrie & Love right?

and since Ryno is so great and deserves to be in WCFs last year if not for Harden, who are you willing to trade him for again? LOL

lol funniest thing i have read today. do you know that defences are worse now than 10 years ago. Game styles are different now with mostly threes being shot, but most players now don't have the basketball smarts they had back in the 90's. What is wrong with 40 shots for 40 points......if you make 20 it is still 50 percent shooting. Not all players can get 40 points now. These days you have stacked teams because of the luxury tax, they didn't have the luxury tax.

Scottie was old and he and Barkley fought a lot. If they let Scottie run the offence, they probably would have gone further
