Michael Jordan was and would be light years better than Harden defensively.

QUESTION: Do you think the competition is HARDER NOW or HARDER THEN?

yep need to send POS Ryan Anderson positive vibes

and send MVP Harden negative jabs

at least you have a safe space now you have an excuse to defend anderson till the end "he need's positive vibes!!!"

honestly it's not about anderson anymore.. its about you not wanting to admit that he sucks

Shot clock rules, defense rules changed (A LOT), and most important of all, players athleticism are all completely different.

Yeah, Harden offensive numbers might be inflated ocmparing to MJ´s era, but MJ´s defensive numbers might also not be as good today as it was in the 90´s. HELLLOO, he wouldn´t be allowed to check players as well.

Also, "athleteticism" freaks in the 80´s and 90´s were much less common than today. Leaping, range lateral speed etc etc changed a LOT, and it could have a great impact in MJ´s offense as well. MJ was a physical BEAST.

Anyway, you don´t compare the biggest legend in the sport with a guy that hasn´t won´t his first ring.

Also, to point out that comparing stats (even if advanced) in this different scenarios is just plain stupid.

a heartbeat... i'm not sure, but yes i'd do that trade.

But again, here we are with you not being able to follow the easiest line of conversation. This is about Harden vs. MJ, of which my post touched on a variety of topics, including how MJ was and would be light years ahead of Harden defensively.

I know that might be hearsay to such a basketball savant as you (that's sarcasm), but yes, MJ, the guy who has a record tying 9 all nba first teams, and a defensive player of the year award, who didn't regular get "lost" forgetting his man, who could lock down perimeter players and has the size to switch to forwards, was and would be light years defensively ahead of Harden, a guy whose defensive historically is synonymous with "Shaq-tin a Fool" and who you get excited about defensively when he's "not bad this year so far", lol.

    Keep up your hot takes.

so if harden was that bad defensively why didn't we impove when he's out?

how many wins could Jordan have single handedly carried this rockets team to last year?

Fresh my memory on how many times Harden has made the All-Defensive 1st Team.

    Jordan made it 10 times.
