James Harden at 28 is better than Michael Jordan at 28

Because if they disrespect the ones people deemed legendary it justifies their point of view

1st of all, I'm defending Harden. The guy was gassed from a HUGE load he was carrying before CP3 got here. Second LBJ & Jordan Are better overall players than Harden. No shame, Harden is a Hall of Famer in my book but he's just not those two guys. EVERYONE needs help to win a title, No one does it ALONE, to debate otherwise is silly.

James Harden has more help this year let's see if it's enough .

 

That is a whole new discussion involving Lebron being much more than a player. He is influential af......

He can afford doing things and get away with them others cannot.

Owners and GMs go to him and ask him what role players they should add to the team all the time.

They did that with Harden once or twice but his drinking buddy Ty Lawson did not pan out.

That is unprecedented, I doubt MJ was that influential, could be wrong though.

I think so but no one outside of Houston would put Hakeem above Wilt or Kareem.

 

How is this thread still racking up pages? Harden vs. Jordan is just so unfair to Harden. He will never be on that level. There’s no shame in that, but it is what it is.

 

It's really bad when a non Rockets fans comes here and peaks at the the thread title and then goes to Reddit and types about how delusional we are because of a few posters .

Apparently Harden jumped over Duncan, Kobe, and LeBron and went straight past Jordan

Are you kidding? In the 80's people talked about Hakeem being better than Kareem. In the 80's!

All I am saying is that yes, it's dumb to try to equate a player who hasn't gotten to the NBA finals with the GOAT. But that's what homer fans do - especially young ones.

 

True but if you look at who was the most physically gifted center of all time, Hakeem would have to have strong consideration with the back to back rings to go with it.

Problem is for instance I think T-mac is probably the most physically gifted 2/3 to ever play the game. At his peak, his skillset was unparalleled. I believe T-Mac was more skilled than Kobe (yep....I believe that). HOWEVER, because of T-mac's lackluster legacy (and no rings to boot), he is rightfully in the shadow of the likes of Kobe etc.

 

David Robinson, not as skilled but athletic af.
