So you rather go 0-27 from long distance? Got it.

Also, long twos are not equal to midrange. Midrange is anywhere outside the paint to inside the arc.

Sample size of 1 game is not proof. The Rockets style of play got us within one half of the finals against the greatest team of all time. We need better 3 point shooters, not more mid-range game. This is the Rockets system. Management, coaching staff and the players have all bought into this system 100%. Not sure why some people are so quick to abandon what has generated one of the historically great offensive teams of all time...

Dont base your opinion off one game.

It doesn't matter, either way it's an inefficient shot.

Yet, we use CP3 as our midrange guy and that's okay. But, Harden or no one else needs a midrange game...just CP3. If CP3 is not on the floor, then we become slightly one dimensional. Harden will be more effective at preventing situations like game 7 if he could do damage from mid-range...especially if CP3 is off the floor. Where did I say I wanted to abandon the 3 point offense?

I'd like to see him develop a low post game and use it against smaller guards

He becomes completely unstoppable once the mid-range and post-up become a focal part of his game, especially in the playoffs.

CP is a historically good mid range shooter. Like over 50% good. That's why it's ok. Harden has never a shot above 50% from there.

James Harden needs to add Low Post moves, midrange must be added especially late in the playoffs with tired legs, short rotation. Defense, Lateral quickness, Emotionally Invested in the Players, Emotional Leader. Task Leader he is but a Emotional Leader is the next Level for him. Rebounding, Ballhandling, Passing.

I don't agree, defense got us within one half of the finals, we shot like absolute garbage from 3 the entire playoffs.

Harden had a MVP season in 2015 doing his midrange step back and we went to the WCF too where he had pretty damn great games against that warriors team.

Lol, look if he can do it fine, I'm just saying
I get it but 50% is too much to ask when he already has much more efficient weapons. That's just the truth of it.
    The math does not work.

He’s hit his ceiling. He’s the MVP, how much higher can he go?

I think it’s absurd to discuss what his ceiling is. What needs to happen is that he plays more effectively in the critical games during the playoffs. Dream and his evolution from 1986-1996 is a perfect example.

Harden shoots the most ridiculously hard shots any nba player has taken since Kobe Bryant.

Their horrible contested shots yet he hits them like their wide open jumpers.

His footwork and handle are all time stuff.

If he took a few less step back threes his shooting % would be around the Kyrie Irving level imo.

Hopefully he learns to move without the ball. It makes him tougher to guard. He did it alongside J Lin, but wouldn't with Cp3.
