He showed up pretty well for us when we played OKC and for the thunder when they played the Spurs

Somewhere in between. If he played decent defense I think he would be.

Amazing player in the regular season, but seems to disappear in the playoffs unfortunately. If he can fix that problem he can be an all-time star.

Yea this is how I also feel. I think we tend to think of many of the players in the NBA as superstars, when they are just all stars. Superstars don't come around that often.

I surely don't think Griffin or Curry are superstars. Id perfer Westbrook to Curry on my roster.

Melo doesn't give great effort on the defensive end, is he not a superstar? What about Durant? Durant isn't a great defender? You guys also need to remember Harden is only 24 years old and is still polishing his game. Let's think about some of the records harden has broken since being a rocket. He is a superstar and has only accomplished some feats as rocket that Moses Malone and Hakeem have accomplished. Some of y'all are just hating

Harden's biggest problem is his clear lack of drive to improve this game. He seems to be content piling up his offensive numbers, while putting ZERO effort on defense. In the playoffs he got totally shutdown by a scrub Mathew, yet he did not show much fight in snapping out of it.

This is worrisome. Drive is not something that you can teach. I don't think Rockets can contend for a championship with Harden as the best player. He is going in the direction of Melo instead of LeBron.

Yes. I think he is somewhere in the middle. He is better than the majority of Allstars but does not stand out like Lebron James and Kevin Durrant. He is currently somewhere between number 3 to number 6.

Melo and Durant's defense can be better. But they look like all-defensive players compared to Harden.

There are two super stars in the league....

    Durant and Lebron.

Not Paul, Griffin, Love, Harden, Howard, Curry, Melo, George, Aldridge, Lillard, Dirk, Duncan, Cousins, Davis, Wall, Rondo...

5th and MVP? You mean 5th on the MVP voting? Because he was actually 6th.

Also, I asked right now. I don't care about potential to be something, that he is currently not. I haven't seen harden really improve on the defensive end since entering the league.

    James Harden = Gilbert Arena.

we'll see if this 'superstar' can perform playin in the world cup in september.. i expect him to be the starting SG next to drose, durant, klove, anthony davis.. if he isnt starting on team usa, i will be disappointed and worried that coach k cant even get him to play defense..

He's just an all-star for now, which I stated in the Dwight Season 2 thread.
