I know right? Some people here b**** more than mother-in-law, and that's saying a LOT. Lol Jesus, before the trade you would have thought Enis was the anti-Christ or something.
BRING BACK HOUSE!!! I'm not going to make a James Ennis appreciation thread but one thing I won't miss is Ennis fighting another teammate for a rebound and losing it as a result once or twice a game. Ennis had one of the worst net ratings on the team. Thank god our front office is fluent in numbers. BRING BACK HOUSE!!!
That sums up his game last night. I think it stood out even more to me because everyone else was locked in on D.
I put too much faith in that pudgy idiot. Good god he's missing layups as a renowned GM. Now that all his flexibility is gone his lack of actual basketball scouting ability is getting hideously exposed. You would think he'd have analytics to help but NO metrics have indicated Faried, Rivers, Ennis, MCW, Shumpert, or Dario Saric as good, positive impact players for seasons now. ZERO. Those guys are getting tossed around the NBA like barroom whores for a reason. And holding onto Gordon who is playing some of the worst defense in the NBA? Ugh.
Correct. It’s almost as if he was playing with both shoes tied together at times. Frustrating indeed.
Tilman: "So, who'd you get to replace Ariza?" Morey: "James Ennis." Tilman: "Who?" Morey: "Ennis. He's six feet eight and a brother, just like Trevor. But younger." Tilman: "How much did he cost?" Morey: "Not even two million." Tilman: "I like him. Come on, let's go to Landry's." Morey: "Um, no thanks." Tilman: "We don't have to pay, you know." Morey: "Um, no thanks. Brought a sandwich."
Dude played good D, had hustle, shot 50% FG & 37% 3pt. For as much flak as he got, he was actually a decent wing.. Morey basically handed him to Philly for free. I never seen a team competing for a championship have a fire sale on their roster mid season smh
its just crazy. cf's will spend all day and all season b**** about how bad ennis was even when he was finding ways to contribute. the minute he gets traded. omg horrible. he was useful and a good player. LOL the logic consistency by many around here is just laughable
Also, this pretty much conforms what I had said over the summer. We had a trash of an off-season. Especially hurts because this off-season was huge in terms of where the team finished last season and what the expectations were. Morey completely bombed it.
I would love if this move leads to something else but I have a feeling it’s all about saving money and that’s it.
Danuel House or buyout candidate on the way? Has to be. House and Ennis are redundant but yes surprising they would just dump Ennis like that as he can at least provide depth. This does get them out of having to pay him next year as I believe he had a Player Option?
