Cuban is just that crappy little brother. Morey's probably throwing smoke screens at him as we speak, Jameer being one as well.

Next thing you know, Rockets will leak that they're interested in Josh Smith, and Cuban will run in there and trade for him LOL.

Nelson has better 3pt shooting, he takes far more last resort shoots and less assisted 3pt shoots as a real PG. Don't just look at plain stats sheet.

He is an awful defender and nothing special on offense.

    ^Re: VOA

How much of that is a product of the system? Both the Wizards and Rockets made extensive use of spot-up 3P shooting

Not as a Bev replacement, but I was hoping to gram Nelson as a Lin replacement. At $3 MM/year, he does everything Lin does to a certain degree, and would be a great creator off the bench. Oh well! Sounds as if we hope Canaan/Johnson can hold it down.

difficult to say because i cant say i watched that much magic ball last year, i can only go off numbers which without an eyetest cant be taken as a true indication.

jameer has rapidly declined his % of 3 pointers assited every year over the last 10 years from high .841 (a respectable figure for aggressive PG) to now .515.

proberly dwight was a big factor in demanding double teams or having someone over the years like hero who can create for themselves and can spot jameer up.

now its just him, kinda oladipo (although ii dont rate his creating ability yet) and thats about as far as it goes. so more a product of not being able to concede the ball and wait for the shot

Once again if we did that deal for 3 mill using partial MLE along with N.Johnson signing of around the 5-600 mark that would only leave about 2.8 million left in the MLE to complete the roster, so say goodbye to marion or any other dream MLE target (Aminu anyone?)

The Biannual Exception is available to the Rockets *right now*. If they do use it this year, then they cannot use it next season.

I am not a fan of Nelson at all. He is overpriced at $3MM per. All Canaan needs is the confidence of the coaching staff to be a better player than Nelson right now.

    LOL.
Seriously, the Roxs should go for a PG that has already proved himself in the league; basically a solid vet on a 2m contract. This, along with Harden hopefully improving his game, will signal that the Roxs means business this year and are not engaged in a mindless and endless monopoly game where Morey can do his best Harry Redknapp impersonation. Ish Smith? GTFOH.

players of Nelson's caliber are always available at the trade deadline.
we have a glut of young PGs behind Bev. You need to see what you have before you make that move.

for all the moaning over McHale having a short leash on the young guys, the love shown for Nelson seems hypocritical.

I'd take Jameer. Serviceable point guard at a relatively cheap price. Not sure whats with all the hate.

You have a fascination with names don't you. You probably play more 2K than watch actual games.
