7AST / 4 TOs in three quarters.. at one point all 5 Warriors were all focused on stopping Green's drives. Still has some work to figuring out the high traps teams have been doing lately but he was kicking to open 3 point shooters all night who mostly threw up bricks.
The Warriors basically threw everything at Green…and it worked. Pretty clear that we need another player who can attract attention (aka Sengun).
The warriors shut down the paint because we can’t shoot, nothing to do with Green, it is our biggest weakness, lack of good 3pt shooting. DD
Someone check the math, but it looks like Jordan averaged over 30 points a game over multiple 11 game spans starting 12/12/84 - when Jordan was 21. Jordan averaged over 30 point a game the rest of the season. Same with Lebron his third year when he was 20/21.
They made a mistake. The criteria is a lot more selective. It's "11 game winning streak". Not just any 11 game stretch. So ya a pretty selective criteria. Hey I mean it's selective because 11 game win streak led by 22 year olds don't happen often but still it's pretty cherry picked.
Look, they are doing the best they can to hype up 9 good games in an 11 game sample for a player who was terrible before the 11 game sample and has been terrible since the 11 game sample. It's not easy to make something like that appear significant or impressive so we should cut them some slack.
This off season I want to see Sengun and Green playing together in pick up games honing their two man game.
