After seeing the Green vs Mobley/bust allegations. Imagine the Rockets getting this year's first... I don't think I'm ready for what would happen next. Fanbase is too split and you people are crazy. I'm definitely taking a fandom sabbatical.
Fanbase is split between. 1. Let's give the 19 year old kid more time before making judgments, the environment he is playing in isn't exactly conducive to success. 2. This 19 year old kid is a bust after 35 games. It doesn't really need to be split at all. Whoever the Rockets draft should get the time and patience they need before being declared anything. If they play well, that's great news, if they don't, then let's wait and see. Even if they start well out well, it doesn't mean they'll become great players. For context, Michael Carter Williams averaged 17/7/5 on TS 48% in his first 42 games.
No one needs a lecture on MCW, it happens almost every year... NBA social media is crazy and this place isnt much better with the hot takes. '22 draft is far more fluid in the draft order and fans from all teams are split between 4 players. Now if you draft someone who is immediately being outplayed by another dude people start flaming. I mean look at the first page in the GARM. Don't even think to check Twitter. Jalen Green atm isn't getting 1st all rookie considerations BECAUSE of the early season vitriol. And everyone saw what happened to Ant... It's wild.
Shaq called it. He was confident in his assessment of JG way back when this could’ve been a very unpopular take. He said with his chest though.
I feel like Green uses that sideways baseline middy as both a way to help establish rhythm and reset himself, kind of like how CP3 would use that elbow turnaround off the curl to get himself going or get something when nothing else is falling.
