Secretly I was hoping he'd redeem himself in the fans' eyes by scoring a TD on the last punt return à la Josh Cribbs. Then in OT, he would make a spectatcular catch to get the W.

Too bad that only happens in movies.

    Worse than Stagger Lee.

    ALMOST as bad as 32-3.

Congrats Jones! You've entered Houston sports immortality!

Hope he is able to get over the mistake and rebuild his confidence on a new team.
in my motherland, things don't go well with mistakes like that one. That was like an autogooool.

I'd much rather have a guy who catches every punt, makes the appropriate decisions regarding fair catches and letting it go and runs straight foward into tackles most times for 4-7 yards....than a fumble prone guy who makes poor decisions, runs backwards or sideways looking for an opening and breaks one very occasionally.

We need to upgrade WR2......Walters would be a very good WR3. Surely someone else on our roster can return punts at least as well.

Very frustrating....at that point early in the game we were riding the crest of momentum.....Baltimore might have been buried.

At least he gave us something on his other punt returns. Oh wait, he had a total of 4 yds on 6 returns.

At least he hauled in that one catch....oh wait, nothing.

    75 games, 1700 yards.

Put an end to this abortion of a roster spot.

he needs to be cut. period. there is no excuse for him doing what he did. he's not a rookie. and it's amazing that the coaches still trot him out there to return punts after that debacle.

Has there even been a player that singlehandedly screwed over their team so thoroughly throughout a game? He's the new Romo, but so much more concentrated because he's not a qb.

This gif isn't even as damning as it should be. It should include him calling it off and letting it bounce so you can imagine the full train of thought this loser must've went deluded.

Jacoby after game interview: "This will make me more hungry."

It should, cause it should make you unemployed.

Worst display of punt returning today in the history of the NFL. He did not make a single positive impact, even aside from the blunder.
