http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Am9xdQy_ljhcMpbHdJKu4N.8vLYF?slug=aw-wojnarowski_jr_smith_china_090811 I remember reading that the Bulls would probably be targeting him as their shooting guard next season. If so, he’s throwing away a really good opportunity to go play in China. I guess the Bulls FA options will be washed up Richardson, Carter, and T-Mac since they won’t pay up to trade for Courtney Lee! Also, if the Nuggets aren’t paying for Wilson Chandler or Smith next season, then they’ll probably offer more to Nene than the $12.5M he rejected before the lockout started. Not that we ever really had a chance at Nene, but just sayin.
I like J.R. Dude might be all flash but he's got stats to back it up. Too bad everyone loves the "Mr. Hustle Good Guys" instead of the "thugs" who put up better stats.
He puts up stats, but is inconsistent, I like him as a 6th or 7th player. I'm surprised he's doing this. He could easily make that here, and if it's a multi year deal, who knows if he'll ever come back.
He's got a killer instinct. Something I wish Bud had. Maybe its the uncertainty of the lockout that is driving him to do this, despite rumors its going to end. Maybe JR knows something we don't?
Damn. It would suck if JR didn't play in the NBA next season. He really should reconsider because it seems like a deal is going to get done soon. Plus, he should be chasing a multi year deal.
I'm glad someone of such great character and moral fabric will be representing the United States abroad.
How do you say good riddance in mandarin? Smith has all the physical tools to be a superstar, but the only thing he's good for is bench firepower. He's a chucker with a bad attitude, and i don't think big NBA offers will ever come his way because NBA coaches see all the same things me and my fellow detractors do. Length, quicks, hops, and a silky jumper. But the basketball mind of stromile swift, and a worse attitude. Plays hard in spurts, cadillac's the rest of the time. He should be better.
