It's sad if Watt is getting triple-teamed, who the hell is going to pressure/hit/sack the QB?

Mercilus and Clowney should be having field days with all of this attention that Watt is getting, or RAC needs to shoot a blitzer toward the gap that is right in between Watt and Vince. There is no reason that other guys shouldn't be putting heavy pressure on the QB with the attention he is getting.

Have you seen this LB core?

Cushing may literally have to be Old Yellere'd before the season is over. I thought maybe, just somehow, he'd have made a full recovery... but the reality is, he's been regressing since his rookie (ahem PED) year, and now he's just a flat-out liability.

    Mohammed should help things.

Clowney has been fine. He is generating pressure if no sacks and has been solid against the run.

    Mercilus tho...is he actually playing?

Sadly, yes. Sometimes he's on the field....though he almost never should be.

Mercilus and Newton playing well in contract years, let's extend em. And isn't Wilfork getting doubles more often than not as well?

Wilfork is old and probably playing too many snaps for his age

we were only rushing 4 most of the game vs the panthers. Panthers were sending three extra blockers to help their line. Our D line did great, crick was awesome, except that one play where he chased the running back, instead newton kept it and headed for the 12 yard gain.

The culprit: linebackers acted like they had never seen an option ran before and Jjo has been snoozing. when you're only sending four you can't afford penalties on third down or a breakdown in "communication".

chiefs and panthers killed us with unconventional offenses. Romeo needs to figure it out. Not only is our o line in shambles but we're getting out coached too.

The good news we will only see that high school offense two more times against the titans.
oddly enough, when watt knocked cam the f down, they never went back to the option.

our best coverage linebacker won't be back til another week.

Watt tripped over the Panthers' RT. If you want to call jumping on someone who's tripped and is falling 'destroying' someone, well, OK.

Eh, the RT's leg wasn't the reason Watt went down. The bullrush was very effective, but I think it also forced Watt to lose a little balance…and the RG was able to get under him and use leverage to get him down. The RT's foot helped trip up Watt and make it look like he got "destroyed", but Watt was already losing the battle at that point…no biggie though…Watt is clearly the best guy out there and he'd win that battle 19 out of 20 times. It just so happens that they need to make a big deal out of it when he's not destroying OLinemen.

No he was trying to swim and move to the left but the trip destroyed any stability in that direction. Without the trip he runs right past his left.

    This. Exactly this.

Turner happened to explode into Watt at just the right time as Watt was losing balance.
