That's is so wrong. Parsons guards like 4 positions. Is bigger, better passer, and rebounder. Reddick is redundant unless you play him as a pg with Harden
A Lin/Redick swap is enticing, but Redick is already on the older side (will already be 29 at the beginning of next season). Maybe Bima can chime in, but would a Redick/Harden/Parsons/Smith/Howard team be possible cap wise?
Redick, Josh Smith, Dwight Howard will all be unrestricted free agents this summer. Technically it's possible cap wise if all three agree to sign with the Rockets for vet minimum. Obviously that's not happening. Josh Smith is on his 9th yr in the league. Redick is on his 7th yr in the league. Dwight Howard is on his 9th yr in the league. For players with 7 to 9 yrs of experience in the NBA, their maximum salary starts at 30% of the cap (which is $16,402,500 for 2012-2013, but will go up if they raise the cap over the summer) with annual non-bird raises of 4.5% per year. If you trade for them and then resign using bird rights, they can get bird raises of 7.5% each year for even more money. If all 3 get maxed, that's 90% of your cap for 3 free agent players, and not even counting Harden or the rest of the team. Obviously impossible. Whether you can fit them all in a team depends on what they get and where it falls between minimum and max. Howard will obviously get max, unless you think he would take less than max to join the Rockets. As for the other two, the off-season will set their market value where all it takes is one crazy GM to max them or give them near max. Or perhaps they won't overpaid if the market dries up a bit with the incoming luxury tax penalties. I find it highly unlikely that you'd be able to fit Redick/Harden/Parsons/Smith/Howard together, though you never really know until you see what their market value is set at during free agency. But technically it's possible cap-wise if they decide to take vet min.
