The b-ball IQ was very low. Both Howard and Harden couldn't finish a basic play at the end of game 2 when it was like 4 on 2. They both missed Jones for the layup. Just a dumb team with poor coaching.
Why is it when Harden plays fantastic we dump on Dwight? And when Dwight balls out its vice versa? From what I saw Dwight played great in Toronto. DMo's the one that sucks
Reactionary fans that don't actually know what they're talking about beyond the ball went in the basket or turnovers
Really?? Wow you are such a fairweather fan! I'll just leave this here http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=9943082&postcount=75
He did play well in Toronto. I'm just saying that he isn't what he thinks he's worth and he's also not a superstar anymore. My post had nothing to do with Harden, in fact, at the time of the post, Harden was playing terribly.
Dwight is ridiculously overrated and his cute smite is not a "pro", especially when he does it after every offensive foul, goaltending, and travelling violation. He is NOT an all-star player, period! There's a reason he hasn't made the all-star team in 2 years. He will go down as a signing that didn't completely work out for Morey, and that NBA vetoed trade was still a killer for us. Pau Gasol is still >>> Dwight and Saturday confirmed it in the worst way. Could you imagine a Harden/Gasol 2-man game? Far more deadly than what we have now, which is just the occasional Harden to Dwight alley oop.
And another negative +/- The Rockets were +12 when Dwight was off the court. Capela deserves more playing time at C.
it's the nba, somebody is going to pay him what he wants. still the only player to be unbeetabol for us in the playoffs in the post yao maury era.
21 pts on 9-12 fg%, 11 boards, 2 blocks, 3-4 FT, all the while getting jobbed by the refs. We never give Howard enough credit. We're always bagging on him and it's complete b******t.
Not saying I disagree with a lot of your points here, but it rests on a big assumption -- that he'll ask for superstar money this offseason. Dude just fired Dan Fegan, who DEFINITELY would have pushed for a max or another destination...so that is telling. We'll see. I don't think it impossible that Dwight, at this point in his career, pulls a Tim Duncan or a Nowitzski. Dude wants to be liked more than he wants money, yo'. There was that skit on Roots Sports about what superpower each Rocket wanted, and most had pretty obvious ones, but Dwight's was such a good representation of him: he wanted the Midas touch (King Midas where everything he touched turned to gold), but instead of having things / people turn to gold, anyone he touches would have a good day / be happy. LOL COME ON!
Seeing as how we contended last year, will have to say you're wrong in that we were not contenders last year lol. Games 1 and 2 vs. GSW, playing at a record rate, were almost ours. So close. We win those two at GSW home and wow, whole series changes. Sounds like you define "contender" has "teams that made the NBA Finals" lol. I think LAC and SAS last year were contenders too...even though SAS was out in the first round and LAC was downed by us.
Exactly! Enough with the plus/minus junk today. We went on a run with Harden and Brewer catching fire. We don't come close to winning this game without him. People act like Capela can do this. If Capela had this SAME game, we'd be flipping out about how great he is.
