It's official: Rockets to play Thunder in round 1

Harden doesn't get angry. At least not visibly angry.

 

In 1968, when their first LP Spirit came out, the Rockets were a year old. They picked UH star Elvin Hayes #1 that summer and he would go on to win Rookie of the Year and later enter the Hall of Fame. The Rockets record that first '67-'68' season? A scintillating 15-67. We may be backing into the playoffs instead of running over the competition, but we're doing a little better than that!

Excellent bass in that song, as always with Spirit. I went to this concert in 1969. Tickets were $3.50-$4.00, with no service charge. James Cotton was terrific (he was always terrific), and the Nazz were Todd Rundgren's old band. Todd was a madman. Purple DoubleDome was popular back then. Must be something about the color purple!

 

All I'm worried about is the russ.

I think this is a little different. This is the most anticipated matchup of the playoffs, so I think we'll get the most premiere time slot of all the games. Sunday afternoon, 8 o clock on weeknights, etc

 

We need the Harden that showed up in games 1, 2, and 4 against GS in the 2015 WCF.

 

nah we need harden to not try and go 1 on 1 with westbrook. we need our team to beat the thunders team. we need to get lou, eric, and ryno involved. **** all the individual pride and what not. Harden needs to do what he's been doing all year long.

He did in the playoff series with GSW when he had a chance to win the game. I believe he knocked over the curtains etc.

 

Hope Harden shows up... Been(mostly) frustrating in the playoffs these last few seasons

 

When Barnes insulted Harden's mother and Harden came out and laid an egg the next game really stuck out in my head. If someone insults your mother, and there is no retaliation with knuckles or buckets, you wonder what's up. Ever since then, I have wondered what motivates Harden. I've never seen him "revenge" mad. Harden is probably just not built that way; he really is one note emotionally.

 

I want the Thunder to get swept...make the voters look foolish Harden!!

Cannot get our hopes up until its over. Can't underestimate that team by any means. We need to bull doze through them and carry that momentum to SA for Round 2.

 

This will guarantee a Westbrook MVP because this will prove that Harden has better players and a better team around him and has to do 2pts and 2rebs less for his team to win.
