With all this food talk going around here lately, I thought I'd crank up the age old question again:

What did you have for lunch today?

I met the harmonica player in my blues band at This is It on West Gray for lunch. Rib ends, mac & cheese, green beans, steamed cabbage and sweet tea. Mmmmm-mmmmm good.

    Nighty-night everyone. It's officially naptime now!:D

Nuthin. Lately, my appetite hasn't kicked in until around 4:00. I'll be having .50 cent legs tonight at BW3, though. You should come out.

BTW, I've been meaning to check that place out. Gonna have to soon.

Brought food from home. Had leftover ribs and a baked potato.

Not the best, but the price was right.

BTW, whoever suggested I try the cheesy gordita crunch at Taco Bell was spot on. That was a very tasty taco. (had that Monday.)

Yesterday, it was a ham and cheddarella sandwich, today it'll probably be a pb&j or a salad... I haven't decided yet.

Man, I guess we know where the BBS's heart is. Even a twice weekly topic regarding food gets a dozen replies in half an hour.

Rman Tex knows his chow. I LOVE This is It.

Meatloaf, Ox Tails...smothered chicken...whatever they happen to be serving.

Man, I'm starving, I skipped breakfast. I don't know what to get. Antonio's Pizza by the slice, there's a new Pita place here, thai, beef bowl from the sushi place, Whataburger on campus, Chipotle's, Free Bird's, Quizno's....

Yup. I love it too. Only problem is that when I go there for lunch on a workday, I'm fighting the sleep demons all afternoon. But it is definitely the best soul food in Houston. Mama's Oven on South Main and Pearl's on West Bellfort are both very good, but This Is It is at the top of the list. My boy Larry had the smothered pork chops and he was in heaven!
