He's such a sweet kid. Hope DM weaves his magic in the offseason, but he really wants to start, and Kyle attempting to come back this season means Kyle is fighting to get his starting role back. sigh ... if this was not the real world, we could keep them both, but I guess it's a sign of their competitive juices, that they would only be satisfied when they are starting.
Mate, give it up...nerf hoops & NBA2K12 doesn't count. We are talking about reality here... You know real life, not fantasy.
I actually thought that bit about soccer helping his lateral movement was interesting. Didn't Hakeem credit his soccer playing youth for his defensive abilities?
Yup, I hope if Lowry comes back soon and is again starting, Dragic will finish games. Lowry has his moments but I trust the dragon more now.
At this point, Dragic should be the clear starter, unless Lowry performs better in practice. I can't see Lowry overtaking the Dragon for the starting spot though.
Should Dragic get paid more than Lowry? I think Lowry may be cool with that arrangement as he has an appreciation of his skill. My only concern is management letting him slip. With today's NBA, the point guard is like a Queen on the chess board. It is almost better to put your money on 2 of them. Also, McHale has been exposed to the ultimate 3-guard rotation with the Pistons (Dumars, Thomas, V. Johnson), so he knows the effectiveness of keeping him. I'm just really hoping we keep him. He's a foxhole guy. I just don't want to replace him with some uber-talented guy that disappears. The ceiling for Dragic is Tony Parker with a dash of Nash...plus he plays defense.
Man we really need to keep Goran. How many NBA teams have the luxury of 2 nearly all-star level point guards? Answer: None. Having both Lowry and Dragic healthy will really punish opponents when they go to the bench.
Not extending Goran is going to be bite Morey in the ass and we lose him in the offseason he should be fired. OFF WITH HIS HEAD !!!!
