    Cuban has been a good owner for Dallas - because he prioritizes winning.

    Thomas nearly traded Olajuwon away. Accused Hakeem of faking an injury and Olajuwon had to call him out as a fool and a coward. Maybe that's before your time, but Thomas was not popular.

    That was more on Patterson. But it was in the private plane with Thomas that Dream resigned

    The Wuhan virus situation never happened and Bruce Willis saved the world like in 12 monkeys

    the story ended well but unfortunately the trophies were stolen by a thief in Florida

    Yeah yeah yeah, point is Thomas wanted to sell the team and he needed to lock-up Hakeem to make the team more attractive - especially since Hakeem was playing lights out under Rudy-T. Thomas and Fitch & Cheney had stifled Hakeem for much of his career.

    Rudy-T unleashed Hakeem and took him from an all-star center to top-five all time simply by giving him the ball and space. The point is that Thomas wasn't this great owner. Neither was Les. I get it Les almost moved the team to another city. But Les also made his home in Houston during his tenure as well and instilled a culture of giving in the Rockets players which I feel did a lot for the franchise.

    None of these owners were great but none of them were horrible either.

    he was from the northeast and rich why wouldn’t he have a condo in NY?

    is making money bad in your world? He flipped 80Ms to 3Bs that’s unbelievable. Not his fault that his team became a global phenomenon on his watch. You see “whored out” and a guy like me who loved Yao, but had a negative overall view of Chinese was able to learn new things and make new friends through the Rocket connection.

    It wasn’t a negative era for me. Alexander never fielded a losing team and never shied away from big moves - he allowed Morey to do his job without micromanaging as much as it seems Fertitta does.

    you don’t like les Alexander I got it - if I told you that you changed my mind would you stop hitting up my mentions? On the cool it really doesn’t mean that much to me.

    I appreciate the trip down memory lane the car dealer owner seemed like a swell guy but it’s 2020 and we have a new set of fires to put out.

    I’m a pure fan
    I know there aren’t many of us left
    But we know the true history of this team
    And even more history we won’t tell

    so when Charles Barkley started telling the whole world that the Rockets screwed him over for $3 million

    we know that Barkley took the minimum so we can sign Pippen to the Max with savings to save cap space

    but non pure fans ,
    Fans who don’t understand celebrations down Richmond and Westheimer
    They will never get it. They will never understand living in Houston with Les threatening to move the team after the oilers left
    Those trophies belong in Houston
    The red and yellow
    The word Houston just means more to some of us

    @Jontro

    as long as someone incorrectly thinks Les was a great owner
    I will tear that lie down

    every single time

    @Verbal Christ
    You should at least compare tilman to current owners
    Those who aren’t dead or sold their team

    If you want to compare real owners in the Les Era
    Then try comparing Les to Jerry Buss

    @Reeko

    Buss never sold his team and loved his city
    He never threatened to move the team
    Never pandered to China
    Never let his greats like Magic or Kobe leave
    Like Les cheapening our Hakeem so he had to go to Toronto
    buss didn’t care about money
    He paid Kobe thank you money at the end to stay
    a Laker for life

    The only Rocket for life is Yao because He made china money for him

    facts

    @Air Yordan
    You’ll never hear this for Leslie Alexander
    Kobe ‘Dr Buss said I want you to be a Laker for life’
    Buss kept his word.

    Les Alexander’s legacy on our heroes

    Unforgivable
    @Reeko
    For what? Kelvin Cato to get minutes
