Hamas shoots their rockets from civilian areas because they WANT dead children, for propaganda purposes. Israel moves its citizens to shelters when the rockets come. Hamas moves them to the roofs and wants as many as possible to be killed. Propagandists like you need dead civilians for their propaganda.

Sir Jackie's opinions aren't much different than Bill Clinton's when asked by Indian media. I'm not the biggest fan of Clinton, but I think his understanding of the conflict and the powers involved is at worst, pretty well informed. In any case, the interview is a good watch/read.

Clearly they are not. What other country notifies the people in the area they are about to bomb that the area is going to be bombed? If their intent was the mass murder of all Palestinians, would they have only gotten a few hundred? Their military technology is capable of far more.
I don't trust any singular person as definitive source, but his opinions, as I said, aren't any diffferent than Sir Jackie/ATW's. As for Barak, he pretty much killed the peace movement itself in Israel. No party has run successfully on a platform of reconciliation since. I don't hold any single person responsible either -- war requires the participation of every belligerent, even if that participation seems unavoidable and inevitable. In the case of Hamas vs Nettanyahu, both are going with the moves that make the most political sense, both are going to be duplicitious and measured in their execution, and both will not want to end the fighting until each can say they got something out of the deal, which will be short-term, which is how they both want it, and how it always works.

I think you're falling for the "Islam is evil" propaganda. Just because Hamas claim to be Muslim does not mean they represent Islam. Killing their own people (as you interpret them as doing) = Islam? That should tell you right there that Hamas is not representative of Islam.
The sanction for leaving Islam ("apostasy") is the death penalty, right? Is this not a characteristic of a death cult? The ideology that death in the (imagined) defense of the ideology/faith is the highest good is part of Hamas' ideology, isn't it? How else can they justify sacrificing their own people? No, Hamas is not representative of all Muslims, of course not. But the death cult aspects of the religion/ideology are interwoven with Hamas' ideology.
