It worked wonders for Hakeem who became much more peaceful and productive after dedicating himself to Islam.

    Causation?

Also, another day, another 147 people get murdered in the name of the "religion of peace"...and all the same mob of people here can do is once again to attack the thread starter.

Yes, if you ask Hakeem it was absolutely causation. There is no doubt about it.

I haven't attacked the "thread starter". I think something as horrific as this attack doesn't require anyone to stand up say they are against it. This is a case where it goes without saying. Do we all need to come forward and say that we believe cancer is bad? Or we can pretty much agree that it sucks and is a killer and something we can all be against even if people don't post about it and declare their dislike of cancer?

I was merely commenting on one person using a thread about one incident to denounce a religion (not just the extremists of that religion). Islam isn't the religion I would choose. But according to Hakeem it helped him get more peaceful, and helped him focus on basketball in a way that elevated his game helped the Rockets get two championships.

So given that we all agree an attack like this a horrible and offensive tragedy committed by people acting out in the worst way humans can act, why would need to write about it here?

I assume that the quotation marks are there because Obama painfully tries to avoid calling a spade a spade. It's Islamist violent extremism.

First off: this attack is f**king bulls**t and terrible. I don't even feel like it needs to be said, but on this forum it's apparently part of the whole "game" we play around substantive issues and tragedies.

I always was annoyed at this point: as if being PC implied America wasn't going to continue paying Somali warlords to kill more people, accelerate the pace of drone killings, and send in more covert special forces raids.

The response to this horrific act will be dealt out in spades regardless of what "Obama says". Violent spades.

For people who give a damn for the right reasons, I'd suggest a donation to Oxfam so that the desperate conditions in East Africa that helps accelerate extremism like this can be relieved.

Show me where, in 2015, large groups of Christians are systematically targeting and executing hundreds of students for not being able to recite passages from the Bible.

Explicitly, give me a example of how Obama not literally stating "Islamic Terrorism" has affected the fight against ISIS and other similar entities.

Is there some Devgru operator or CIA paramilitary officer out there that is confused who the bad guys are because Obama refuses to say "Islamic"?

Let me ask you the other way around:

With any crime (murderous terror is a crime as well), why would you make a special effort to not mention the motive of the crime, when even the perpetrators state it explicitly?

Easy, to not isolate the Muslim population in the United States.

So now your turn to answer my question.

Only a matter of time until someone relativizes current terror in the name of Islam by bringing up the crusades. It's like Godwin's law.

Also, the crusades weren't a one-sided affair. They were a reaction to brutal violence by Islamists. When people use them to relativize current Islamist terror, they neglect that fact. Islamist terror started with Mohammed and has never stopped since then.

A better example of Christian terror is not outward aggression by Christian entities during that era but inward oppression of the common individual by the Catholic Church such as The Inquisition similar to modern theocracies trying to enforce Sharia Law.

What the Middle East needs is secularism and the past 12 years is a perfect case study to conclude that war is the WORST method to inject secularism.
