I know Isiah is probably the WORST GM EVER! but let me get this straight ....

The Knicks traded their 1st rd pick(a possible #1-2 pick) to Chicago for Eddie Curry

    n

traded the 2nd rd pick (possible 1st or 2nd pick in 2nd rd) to Houston on the Mo Taylor trade

So the Knicks with the HIGHEST PAYROLL and maybe the WORST RECORD in the NBA .... lose their top pick of both ROUND and maybe even a #1 pick for EDDIE CURRY n MO TAYLOR

Chances are they'll have enough balls again for the 2007/08/09 draft :D

He did pay nearly 17-million bucks (before luxury tax) for Jalen Rose and Denver's first-round pick. So, there's that. He also gets San Antonio's 29th pick for the luxury of having taken on Malik Rose's contract.

And remember, in 2007, the Bulls get the right to swap picks with the Knicks. So when the Knicks win the top pick in the lottery again, and my Bulls are coming off their first trip to the Finals since 1998 (dat's right), Paxson has the right to swap Chicago's pick with New York's pick and grab Greg Oden.

While we're at it, here is Chicago's 2007-08 rotation:

    C: Oden, Chandler
    PF: Amare, Boozer, Songaila
SF: Deng, Nocioni, Dr. J Jr.
    SG: Gordon, Jesus
    PG: Hinrich, Duhon, Jessica Alba

    It's gonna be sweet.

I can't imagine Thomas not getting fired this offseason. How can he possibly still have the owner's support, especially after this indignity?

If they fired him earlier, could they have gotten Colangelo?

They should just go with a tall lineup and have Dr J Jr. at SG and Jesus at PG. Now that's a killer back-up back-court.

Those Bulls and all their potential. :D

This should shock no one, seeing as Isiah has the IQ of a carrot. All the guy does is ruin franchises, and entire leagues. I am amazed that anyone would employ him.

Plus he is tied with Eric Dickerson as the worst commentator of all time.

Zeke is thinking long term - being the GM for the Bulls. All part of his master plan...

Thomas has done nothing but terrible things one after another...

Why is he still in power? It's just strange....

    He was hired 12/22/2003: http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/ithomas.html

So, he's been able to screw up 2.5 years for the Knicks, plus their foreseeable future. And they were hurting from a bad GM before he came aboard too.

It really is puzzling. Everyone knows he's done below-average and most people realize that he's been borderline criminally imcompetent. I know they are comparing him to the last GM, who was also bad, but come on. What does it take to get fired from an important job like that?

I'm guessing Zeke didn't worry about lottery-protecting this year's #1 because he arrogantly thought the Knicks wouldn't be in the lottery anyway.

    D'OH!!

It's amazing that just when you think the Knicks couldn't get any worse...they bring in Zeke. It kinda makes you wonder if it is the GM or is it the owner. EVERYONE that remotely watches the NBA knows how bad the Knicks have been, highest payroll in the league by far and one of the worst teams in the league, now they are w/o a top 3 pick because of Curry.

And as Kelly pointed out, Chicago can swap picks w/ them next season? OMG!!

Wow, Isaiah is a moron for trading an unrestricted draft pick to the Bulls. So basically, the Bulls traded Eddie Curry for Gay/Aldridge/Morrison/whoever #1 pick is.:
