I have to say, every time I question Morey's methods, way way later it makes sense. I just have no clue where Morey is going this time. In Morey we trust?
We don't really have a need for scrub guards in training camp. We have enough random guys. Need guards who can be relied on to actually contribute.
The Rockets basically said it last weekend when they passed on Parsons' deal. They're not doing anything major in terms of contracts in order to maintain "flexibility" for another run at a big name player(either via trade or free agency). But obviously they need bodies since they were left far short of the 15 they need heading into training camp. So they're signing anyone they can who'll come here on a 1 or 2-year deal for cheap. Maybe this time it'll work out for Morey and Les. And maybe it'll blow up in their faces again like it did with Bosh and Melo. Either way, they've essentially punted on 2014-15 barring a major deal going down before the trade deadline.
A trade is forthcoming. We are adding a lot of competition to the fire right now, could see a couple of spots open up if we trade for an upgrade at PG or PF.
