Seems like a nice guy, good teammate, reasonable player
but still a bit raw I think.

I think he will do reasonably well but his first challenge is to get
McHale to play him at all.

He was 4-12 that game. I hope he can be the backup Pg because we have a glaring hole. But let's not get carried away that he's going to be some kind of savior.

This. The games I've seen show he is the model of inconsistency...in summer league no less. Absolute unwatchable one game and nice the next. That is normal for someone his age drafted in his slot. He has room to grow and needs to grow fast or he will be looking at another year in the valley.

Stopping the ball in the paint with no where to go? Jumping in the air with no one to pass too?? J/k. seriously Lins contributions shouldn't be hard to replace.

Since early last season I've been telling you that Canaan is superior to Lin. He is going to break out big time this year. The only question is will he be in a Rox uniform when he does. Canaan is unstoppable offensively. Everything you saw in SL and in d league last year from him is and will be duplicated in the nba. Yes, he is somewhat of a streaky shooter which means when he is on he gets scalding white hot and when he is off with his shot he can play to his other strength which is getting to the rim and finishing or dishing against any defender. Canaan can break down any defender. He is totally ready to step into a starters role and add wins to a team and become the new 'best value contact' in the NBA. I only hope he does it as a Rocket.

Short really beefy guy who likes pull up 3s. I can see it.

If he can be a fraction of the defender Kyle is, it'll be a great pick.

Dude you need to stop with the jinx threads. He was 4 of 12 w/6 TO yesterday against ATL and now 0 of 5 in the first 6 minutes today.

I'm hoping for Norris Cole-like contribution (during the the championship years in Miami) from him.

Hopefully. But Lin tore it up in the D-League too so let's wait at little longer before getting too excited.

Definitely becoming a fan, slowly but surely. Some of his decision making is iffy, but he really has a good shooting stroke once he gets a little bit of confidence going.
