I never understand this logic. If your player is good, you want to showcase him. Why would a GM want to hide his talents? You don't have to trade the guy if you don't want to. But you show other teams you have valuable assets.

So, in essence, Morey is trying to boost the Vipers' chance of winning this tournament? So much for my theory of hiding him.

Guys come on. Let's calm down.. nobody throw in the towel on the season yet okay?

Let him get some playing time and stay warm. We just don't have room for him right now with Terry playing decent (on offense) and bev getting so many minutes.

If you had followed McHale's interviews, you will not be surprised by this move or why Canaan was in the dog house most of the season.

    2 months from now.

People here will miss Canaan as much as we are missing Daniels now.

Covington never even made it through training camp. Morey tried to trade him before they cut him. They were not going to play him over Papa in the regular season just to showcase him for a trade. He spent a month on the street and nobody picked him up. He was the first pick in the D league draft, then Philly signed him. He was never ever gonna see the floor for us. Never ever.

No. Nobody wants to trade for Shved and send us a sure fire rotation player. The player they would send us in return is of the same ilk as Shved. Fringe rotation player.

You're completely right. Canaan can be a beast and he is a very solid outside shooter and can penetrate the defense quite effectively.

Shved isn't the answer to anything. Won't take long for you guys to figure that out once he starts playing. Canaan will be a contributor again this season at some point.

The problem is what happens when he penetrates the defense, when he shoots less than 9 feet from the rim he gets blocked 28% of the time. He's a blocked shot waiting to happen that doesn't seem to realize that he's supposed to be a PG. Now I like the 3 point shooting, and if he learns or becomes willing to pass, I think he could have a good future ahead of him, but he's got a long way to go.

    This reeks of Morey.

Meh, at least it's happening in January rather than March. I'm willing to see what Shved has to offer. If he sucks, bring Canaan back. No harm, no foul.

shved and kpap have a higher chance to be traded than major contributors for rest of year. kpap hit a wall after his injury.

In my opinion, The Rockets sent Cannan down to the vipers to shake off the rust and work on his game, incase we trade Beverly and Shved.
