From what I understand he had a bit of an attitude problem in believing he was better than the guys playing his position ahead of him. And he was probably right. DD
And i believe if you play hard enough in practice and destroy the players in front of you every time in practice, coach would have noticed and given you playing time, but anyway, who knows what's happening, just a rational guess on my part, Cannon has the talent to be the starting pg on this rockets team, maybe just not enough hard work
I like when guys are pissed about not playing. A good coach can handle that. We seem to just deal those types away. You want fighters. Sam Cassell was a fighter. I don't sweat losing Canaan or Covington one bit but I definitely think Canaan had enough talent to supplant Terry's PG minutes.
Assists Per Turnover Leaders - All Point Guards RK PLAYER AST/TO 94 Kalin Lucas, PG 0.00 93 Russ Smith, PG 0.43 92 David Stockton, PG 0.50 91 Shannon Brown, PG 0.75 90 Isaiah Canaan, PG 1.23 89 Avery Bradley, PG 1.24 88 Tyler Ennis, PG 1.36 87 Aaron Brooks, PG 1.46
That's fantastic and all but the rockets aren't asking their pgs to create for others (that's Harden's job) We needed Canaan's ability to shoot and penetrate off the dribble. He's a nice rotation player that wasn't given a chance to make the rotation.
Some of you guys sound like delusional Lin fans. Yeah he had a couple of good games starting in place of Beverley earlier in the season when the schedule was soft, but talk about overrating a player based on a super small sample size.
lol maybe Harden has to create for others, because their PGs can't? If we have to rely on Harden to create for others and take the most shots, we are not winning a title.
Can't wait...I am about to becom a76ers fan myself soon. Amazing how Cannan try to copy Harden's moves ..would be great if he hits his shots too at a better rate
Sorry if the truth hurts, but it just shows how nuts you guys are to think Canaan can be a starter on a playoff team.
